Appreciate the effort. Couldn't find this on his overly dedicated album and it was a bit of a bitch.

Poe Man's Dreams is so underrated. "I know some rappers using big words to make they similies curve, my simplest shit be more pivotal. I penetrate the hearts of good kids and criminals, worrisome individuals that live life critical. So why don't you bear witness while I bare feet, so you can walk in my shoes and get to know me." 7 years ago but yes agree - I do miss his old styles a bit just cuz of the nostalgia but 7 years seems so long ago, yet only yesterday.

this is probably one of the best albums ever, of all time. Simply timeless, I only hope people are listening to this 100 years from now and understand what he means and why it was so important.

interesting idea, problem is Hip Hop uses a lot of cultural slang/references, so a lot of this can only be understood with knowledge of all the history, culture, transient neologisms/slang that was used with the song at the time

I actually was on the east coast when section 80 dropped, it got a lot of airplay on the underground as well as satellite radio. Now I'm back home next the Pacific, and GKMC really did give me memories of growing up in California. So GKMC is the more mature album/LP forcing you to look at yourself and learn from your mistakes. While section 80 is about addressing the current issues we tend took ignore in modern society today

I listen to this album front to back at least twice a year since its release! My favourite work from Kendrick Lamar and one of the all time greatest projects in music history. Still here in 2020

In my opinion lyrically this is the best album, GKMC is the best for story telling and TPAB has the best production and substance :D LOVE LIVE KING KENDRICK

Use to listen to this in college as well. This came out in September 2011 and the fall of 2011 was a period in my life that I will always remember. It was filled with grief, love, achievement and fun. Experiences that helped me grown into a human being. This album hits home for me because I bumped this that entire semester while in school. hope finals went great for you.

Stupid MAN2488 you literally just listed the 5 guys who the media considers to be "top 5 ever." You can't do that in an argument... especially when Kendrick is CLEARLY already better than 3 out of the 5 you listed... In fact, MUSIC WISE, Kendrick IS the best ever; that is not up for debate. Lyrically you can say anyone; musically, Kendrick is far and away the best. I don't see how anyone with a human brain and human ears can disagree.

Holy shit that last line on Keisha's Song hits so hard and out of nowhere, fuuuck. Kendrick's a lyrical mastermind.

This album will always put me in a happy place =). Perfect for smoking bud with. Softened up in sound to show everyone, still hard for the hip-hop heads, good to cruise to and put in the background, good to kick back with, and yet good to sit down and think about life with.

It's 2018 and this whole album is still amazing great job Kendrick for making a classic.

one of the most underrated records this century just because of the heights he would reach with the others. Personaly, this is still his most enjoyable record to listen that he created, at least for me

Keisha's Song is probably my favorite song.

"no makeup today" used to think this was the epitome of feminism. and then i met the internet.

album just gets better and better with each listen.

This was the project I discovered Kendrick Lamar, it was a breath of fresh air in the state Hip Hop was in at the time, and he continues to be a breath of fresh air today.

+metalfacedoom71 Kendrick Lamar is hip hop. He could even be compared with Nas, not in achievement, but overall meaning behind his songs. I listen to MF Doom, I love MM.. Food, it's probably one of my favorite mixtapes of all time, but Kendrick is nothing short of representing what hip hop really means. He may have a few mainstream songs, but they have meaning; however, most people nowadays don't listen to lyrics, but rather the beats. Kendrick manages to bring both of them together to create something old-school style while bringing something unique in today's music. Not every Hip hop artist has to be underground.

Amazing album... Kendrick will be a legend when it's all said and done 👍
