If you want the full sample breakdown to complement the video here it is: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ooiozbySfpvYiNI.html
Also the 808 pattern sounds like a jersey kick
youre great at describing things you should do more deep dives like this

wow very good breakdown and recreations only thing missing on the drums is the triangle/perc. you can easily find it on any recycled drumkit on the percs category
This was a fantastic breakdown of this track. I really appreciate the detail you put into your vids showing the artist approach on a sample.

Appreciate you!
This was a super interesting video man, I've never seen someone mention the relationship of the sample's time signature and what the time signature of the finished song will be. Makes me wonder if there's any beatmakers out there that work with super unorthodox/unsual time signatures.

Sometimes I make a melody and it simply loops in 3/4, I could try to add another beat, but it feels unnatural, so just keeping the loop at 3/4 is best. from a guy that made 3/4 sample like 2 times in 7 years lol
3 millionth day in a row I am begging for you to do a breakdown of all of the j dilla beats on every Busta Rhymes albums.

Slowly but surely I will do most of Dilla's catalog... so I might actually do that. One beat at a time :)
