As a 90s kid watching Kenan go from just another guy on Nickelodeon to the foundational cast member for the next several generations of SNL has been pretty wild. I wouldn't have expected him to be huge as a kid but now when I think of SNL I think of it as Kenan's house. Guest hosts come and go on a weekly basis but really every show is hosted by Kenan. Just in the way it feels. He went from just another child actor to somehow feeling like one of the godfathers of a show that had already existed for decades before he joined it. And we watched him become that. One season of SNL at a time 👏🤯

Kenan: "And Sir, in this new country, what plans are there for men of color such as I?" NB: "Distance will be measured in inches, feet, yard, and miles." Kenan: mouth hung open, looking right and left hands up on dismay. To be fair, all of the cast were amazing keeping a straight face. So did Nate, but I expected him to lock it down.

The funniest thing about Lorne Michaels is that he almost never appears on television and hearing him speak is extremely rare, but everyone knows what he sounds like because A) every SNL cast member does an impression of him and B) apparently Mike Meyers based Dr Evil's voice on Lorne for the Austin Powers movies

I have been watching SNL live since I think season 2. I recall clearly the look on Chevy Chase's face when he would pop up from his stumble and announce "Live from NY, it's Saturday Night". Over the subsequent 48 years I have observed that nearly every individual assigned that privilege has (whether intentionally or not) has made an effort to mimic that Chevy Chase expression. It is ICONIC and no other show opening inspires the sense of giddy anticipation to see what is in story for the episode. Admittedly, not every ensemble has been stellar and some seasons have kind of flopped, but for 49 seasons that show has remained beloved. I hope it never ends. And Kenan has been there for so long I cannot imagine the show without his presence!

Chevy Chase is eighty now. I remember that too. The sad thing is how many SNL cast and guests have passed on. No, not a movie role. RIP Charles Rocket.

Seth's outloud laugh when he throws his head back and has the "spaces in between " type laugh reminds me of my Dads laugh. I guess I'll just have to take your word for it Keenan , that Seth has a Muttly laugh. Also sorry but when you said Lorne has a guttural laugh , you then proceeded to do a throaty laugh so Im not holding much credibility twards the others but I buy Tina and Maya's impersonations though.

Dude, can the people in charge of uploading videos just, ya know, upload them in order?! I hate clicking on the first video and hearing, "And we're back with..." and I have to pause the video, go back to the channel on KZread, click 'Videos', and either guess which is the first one or wait until it's uploaded. Very frustrating to have to start two or three videos (god help me if there's more than three because then I have to really guess the order and, frankly, sometimes it makes it funnier). (I know, parenthetical statements should never be used (because you should always incorporate the information in either a citation (an acceptable practice) or the explanatory statements should be moved to a more specific location before the information being discussed in order for the current information to be relevant and understood). Thanks.
