I had the honor and privilege of meeting Ken Chertow. Humble and works hard. Even as he aged, he never never stops working hard to do his best to teach people great technique. One excellent judge of character with him is that he never boasts about anything or that his way is the best. You not win them all, but you go out with class and everything left on the mat.

I grew up wrestling in Ohio. I had the pleasure of getting to know Ken over a few years. Really solid guy back then. I can't imagine he's any different now.

@@rottenpucker by solid do you mean as arrogant as it gets? Or how about showing videos of himself like it’s going out of style. When I worked for him before I joined the military, this dude had a painting of HIMSELF by their dinner table in Boalsburg. He’s an arrogant tool.

I wrestled Chertow when I was a junior in HS. Took him on at a camp just a couple of years before this bout. I didn't even see him shoot.

It’s because he try’s to bull your face. He was a very stiff wrestler that did better in freestyle than anything. He’s not even in the top 100 wrestlers for Penn State. He got demolished at the 88 Games and instead of staying to root his teammates on, he got his daddy to fly him home. I know Ken. He’s one of the most arrogant, self righteous idiots I’ve ever met. He honestly thinks he served the county. I went to Afghanistan to fight, pal. That is serving your country. Ken is a schmuck

Наверное вы не занимались вольной борьбой, ни один накат, который Кен пытался провести со стойки не был успешно завершен Тогузов стряхивал его как блоху, при этом сам оставаясь в стойке. Сильные ноги и спина, у американца хорошая защита.

Todd was not at good as Ken - I wrestled both of them at Commack and Huntington High. Ken was a beast at another level. Period.

The match was about more than trying the same thing repetitively, by late time the American was in better condition and making it exciting, putting up a hell of a fight against technically superior wrestler, you don't always have to win to be a winner.

Ken has phenomenal camps but was suchhhh a cocky prick😂 I remember he knew my family had a long history of all Americans with international success so he liked me but was very hard on me. I was running threw a lot of his studs at his camp and he didn’t like it so he called me out to go takedowns in front of the whole camp me and him lol. I was in JR high and he wasn’t much bigger but had man strength, we hand fought for a little and I surprised him by getting balls deep in a Hi C he never saw coming and fought with everything I had to finish. He was a little shocked I had caught him off guard so at the last second he hip tosses me hard at the edge of the mat and goes out of bounds😂 that’s just how he was a very fiery competitor even with a kid at his camp messing around. I earned his respect and we would catch up over the years whenever I saw him at a tourney.
