I waited my WHOLE life for ppl to finally appreciate dreamhouse Ken. Their relationship is so healthy and supportive of each other. My fave part was Cringing in the Rain, when it stopped raining and Barbie and her friends were sad so Ken used a shower head. HE WAS ALWAYS READY TO MAKE HER HAPPY, SATISFY AND FULFILL HER NEEDS, IN THE HARDEST OR SIMPLEST WAY. Love him!

You have to love that not only is Ken the best for Barbie, but also how he's there for her sisters as well. He cares for them, he cheers them up whenever they're down or comes when they're in trouble and genuinely shares their interests at heart too. Same can be said for her friends, he goes for them for advice and vice versa. He is perfection

Gotta appreciate how Life In The Dreamhouse Barbie is JUST AS in love with him as he is with her, she just shows it in her own way. It’s not as often as Ken to her, but she *does* show it and it’s really cute because they’re both very happy with their relationship and supportive of each other 💝💘💖

“BARBIE LIFE IN THE DREAM-HOUSE” KEN IS THE ACTUAL STANDARD! He was not only intelligent and less naive, he genuinely wanted everything that was best for Barbie. Also, he would’ve never even wanted to establish the patriarchy in Barbie Lane in the first place bc he wouldn’t have found it appealing and he’s already content with the role of being her boyfriend (he literally acknowledges that himself). Additionally, they both had a more mutual relationship of appreciation and respect for each other compared to the live action movie version of themselves. But, I do understand and admire that the live action movie had a different message they wanted to be voiced/get across.

(Spoiler alert) The Barbie 2023 movie Barbie was pretty mean to Ken prior to his antagonist arc. Not because she didn’t want to date him (totally fair and understandable), but she spent a lot of time being actively dismissive towards him, like how she went out of her way to remind him that literally every other Barbie mattered more to her than he did, how she said it was HER dream house (and we never got an answer for if the Kens live anywhere), not his, how she legitimately told Gloria and Sasha that he was superfluous, and how, after everything was said and done, the Kens are still second to the Barbies and Ken only got an apology for her taking him for granted, not for supporting him being a second class citizen and all the hurtful things she said and did over the years.

Nah, the point of movie Ken was to illustrate the dynamics of men and women under patriarchy and why some men lean so hard into it. Movie Ken centered his whole identity around being with a woman, and when that woman didn't feel the same, he tried to make her life hell. The movie dealt with critiquing systems of oppression and exploitation while still having compassion and humanity for the individuals, including Ken. It's not a kid's movie.

She had to forgive him) he thought it was a sign to make a move on her. Also, it’s hinted in the movie that since Barbie’s owner (America’s character) never actually owned a Ken doll, there wasn’t that connection between Barbie and Ken, which is why she didn’t notice him a lot. To be 100 percent honest i find Barbie in the dream house funnier than the movie 💀 i mean is more lightheaded, silly jokes that are actually funny, i know the movie had some important topics and it was a great movie, but it was more like a memory lane for the people who grew up with barbie than anything else

@@srizangupta1957 When the op said men should be like Ken they only mentioned some good traits that men can adapt; that did not include looks, because though the body can be improved by being fit, the rest of the physical appearance can't be modified (except for by ARTIFICIAL measures). The op, who I assume is a woman, asked of men to only have a good personality and behaviour, while you, who, judging by your pfp, are a man, asked of women to be conventionally 'hot looking'.This shows a lot about our society.
