damn shame Kemt hasnt released more music. His music is the perfect lofi house: nothing too derivative or cookie-cutter, some gud ass sampling, and solid track progression, you could feel the bumps kick in after a while and every track took enough time to let you sink in with the beat (didn´t take too much time either, as it happens with other house beats). Shit was just perfect.

I feel you. Not a lot of artists come close to the sound kemt creates. If you haven't heard from him yet, Monolithic has some great tracks as well if you'd like to listen to some stuff in the same ballpark. ‘You Won't Even Call Me’ has to be one of my favorite tracks.

I can't tell you how excited I am that French house is making a tenacious comeback. In reality, it never left. From DJ Falcon, to Daft Punk, to Cassius, to Pépé Bradock, to Alan Braxe, etc., we've found ourselves to where we are now. The beats are coming in heavy, ladies & gentlemen; out of the likes of Flabaire, Mézigue, Kemt, Folamour, DJ Steaw, DJ Steef... the list goes on and on. Oh my, oh my... êtes-vous prêt pour l'inévitable? It's the French touch.

While I'm really digging a lot of this stuff, I wish they didn't shave off so much high-end...I think these tracks would send better with the definition that the high-end provides.

The Lofi sound or the filters on the high end? The grain you hear is from sampling vinyl the "muffled" effect is achieved by dropping the highs and maybe even some of the midrange here so that the low end is more pronounced.
