Kemet Blood and Sand - Full Gameplay

Ойындар

There is an error with the 5/2 attack card, it costs the user 2 lost units as well.
Kemet is a 2-5 player Area Control, aggressive, points based, war game where players are rushing to be the first player to start their turn with 9 or more victory points, the first player to do so brings glory to their ancient divinity, while the others will left to suffer in defeat!
Blood and Sand is the second edition of this classic area control war game and in this video I am going to play a full 3 player game so you can see some of the changes in the second edition!
"In Kemet, players each deploy the troops of an Egyptian tribe and use the mystical powers of the gods of ancient Egypt - along with their powerful armies - to score points in glorious battles or through invasion of rich territories. A game is typically played to 8 or 10 victory points, which may be accrued through winning attacks, controlling temples, controlling fully-developed pyramids, sacrificing to the gods, and wielding particular magical powers.
The conquest for the land of Kemet takes place over two phases: Day and Night. During the day, choose an action amongst the nine possible choices provided by your player mat and perform it immediately. Once every player has taken five actions, night falls, with players gathering Prayer Points from their temples, drawing Divine Intervention cards, and determining the turn order before the start of the new day.
As the game progresses, they can use Prayer Points to acquire power tiles. Some of these enroll magical creatures and have them join their troops. In addition to intimidating enemies, these creatures provide special powers!
Detailed miniature components represent the combat units and the supernatural creatures that are summoned to enhance them. Combat is resolved through cards chosen from a diminishing six-card hand and enhanced by bonuses."

The Black drops on the attack card has a minus sign. That means the 2 unlockable damage actually goes to the one playing the card and not the opponent.

OTSBG, love your videos. At 33:42, you said all players get a veteran token. The black player was the attacker, not the defender, so because they won the battle and received a Divine FP, they do not also get a Veteran token.

Hi there, at 1 hour 15 min and 27 seconds yellow gains 9 prayer points. How so? What gave them that boost? Thanks so much for making these videos. Just got Kemet Blood and Sand and the Book of the Dead expansion, which I still sincerely hope you'll get your hands on some time to make a tutorial for that set too :)

I’m in the process of learning this game and have yet to play, so please forgive me if I’m wrong, but at 44:05 since green still has a Troop remaining in the battlefield, doesn’t green chose where yellow retreats to?

I've watched a lot of videos before pre-ordering our native Ukrainian/Russian localization of Kemet (never played area-control games before), however, most of these videos were not impressive. You, however, are a cool person, and I've definitely subscribed for your channel. Among all other area-control games like Inish, Blood Rage, Rising Sun, etc. I've made my main choice for the aggressive Kemet: BaS. It feels better than a predecessor, and a lot of options you've shown in this video are good enough to justify the replayability of this game, just an amazing piece of art.

Thanks for watching and subbing extremely appreciated! The winner does not need to have a surviving troop to get the reward and in fact a sneaky tactic is to jump a player you know doesn't have any good offensive cards and still earn a permanent VP with a smaller force or one with a monster in it.

@@OffTheShelfBoardGameReviews Thanks for the reply! I've actually edited the comment because I saw your solution within the video. Nevertheless, I've found that topic: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1502492/winning-battle-loosing-all-troops-do-i-get-still-b and the official reply of Matagot, which is: "According to the rules, to win a battle, you need to have more strength than your opponent. That's all. Now, in order to win a VP, there is an extra condition that requires you to have at least one unit still standing. So you can win the battle, and not win the VP. But you are still the winner of the battle." So according to the official reply, we can't get a VP if none of our warriors is alive. My main concern was: what if both players lose all their units in battle due to the damage cards from both sides, how it should be handled. Thank you :)

@@OffTheShelfBoardGameReviews correct :) That was my concern that even if you win - you won't get a VP if you have 0 units left. A veteran token is still provided, so it's still OK :) By the way, do you think that Blue is highly underpowered in Kemet: BaS if you compare it to Red or White? My main concern is if it is even worth getting a Blue Pyramid other than for pure replayability. They moved Snake to White, raised the Legion requirement to Level 3 instead of 2, nerfed Reinforcements, and overall their level 4 tiles are highly underpowered (at least to my taste). The Elephant also seems pretty weak. Also, I don't find it's too reasonalbe to play Defensive Victory and control templates if one can simply get an Amon Priest asap and get 7 pray points each night while maintaining offensive Red tiles. You definitely played a lot of sessions and I would highly appreciate your opinion on that.

@@ruindavidson901 I need to play more to make any decisions but blue still seems to be a very powerful "helper color" I have had tremendous fortune going Blue/Black and Blue/Red. This is nowhere near enough sample size of game play to confirm though just what I feel so far. I want to play Kemet more but that requires me to hunt down my own copy to get in more plays or con the owner of this copy to bring it over more often =) Thanks for watching!

24:43 Green is the player with the least amount of VPs, so he gets to choose his position on the player order track. 35:00 Yellow summons 5 troops, but doesn't pay for them. The "+5 Strength ~ 2 Unblockable Damage" battle card...the unblockable Damage is for the player who played the card. The "~" signifies that YOU are taking the damage, not your opponent. So the Black player should have lost two troops when he took the "House of all gods" where you can sacrifice two troops for a permanent VP. And the green player should have had two more troops when he took the temple from yellow. Playing that card wrong seriously influences the game :-)

It's a tactical mind game. You all know at the start of the game which cards everyone at the table has. Once that first battle ends, you create uncertainty and doubt, keeping battle decisions tense.
