I don't watch Strictly at all but my missus insisted. And what should come on but this. I couldn't take my eyes off the tele. Genuinely entertained and I loved every second. Pure joy and happiness. What a song. I've been making breakfast in the kitchen for days to this song poorly imitating these guys dancing but with zero care in the world. Laughter is infectious. Love is catching. They cheered me up no end. Thanks guys.

there was so much joy in this dance the whole way through, loved it. when i first heard which song they were dancing to i wondered how on earth it'd fit street, but the choreographers did such a great job. i've said it before but i love how, despite having to stick to a theme, every couple's choice looks so different and unique, i loved the commercial mix with this song and theme, somehow it all fitted together perfectly. especially LOVED the drum section, so good

It was like watching a number from a Broadway musical. Kelvin's musicality was FLAWLESS and the cleanness of all the lines he has created was FANTASTIC. I also loved the partnership between him and Oti - the togetherness of this routine was superb. Haven't that all that, for me it was more of a jazz routine, for me it was lacking much more street dance content and more difficult steps - I wanted to see less "musical theater oriented" steps and much more "hip hop\ breakdance oriented" steps. It felt more of jazz number in my opinion. It was perfect in many ways, but there wasn't enough actual street dancing style in it. An 8.

totoro myneighbour Maybe that’s because for the last three weeks she hasn’t needed to be led?? The salsa, jive and in particular street commercial aren’t dances that really require a lead per se, not in the traditional sense anyway. He definitely led her for their other dances though like their rumba, tango, viennese waltz etc. Their last three dances are ones mostly danced in isolation.

@@MsTahsin91 Leading might be the wrong word that I picked up from that person's comment. They dance solo, then when they come together she's often ahead of him, there's a timing mismatch in that moment where they join back up that I don't have the right dance terminology to describe.

Ali_91 do you know anything about Latin dance? All dances require a strong lead, jive is no exception and he did not lead her at all. Salsa is a social dance and rarely involves choreographed routines so relies 100% on the lead! Please be aware of what you’re saying before commenting things

sakura-muffins I said not in the traditional sense. Of course all dances require a lead but to varying degrees, were they in hold for the majority of the time for any of those dances like they are in ballroom? No. And besides he absolutely does lead her. If he didn’t I’m sure it’s something the judges would’ve picked up on by now, especially Craig.

I’m just so glad that the couples choice dance styles were introduced and I really hope it stays a permanent part of the show. I completely disagree with the whole “but it’s supposed to be a ballroom and Latin show get rid of couples choice blah blah blah” NO- look at the great routines couples choice gives us!

@@chocobaby3113 Michelle and Gio's dance to Vogue was fantastic, although the choreographers didn't do vogueing as a style justice, it was very much old way which doesn't require the steps or intensify of new way vogue.
