Ryan Vick I shared a room with his brother at the NSSA in Huntington Beach, Kelly came to our room party and didn’t drink, the rest of us got tanked. Anyhoo, I’m the coolest!

Amazing video! I grew up surfing, and unfortunately moved a long way from the beach when I was 17, and have every intention of moving back. Unfortunately, I was never able to make it back, but I love watching these videos and listening to the ocean. No music, no gimmicks, just mother nature at its finest. Haven't been on a way even over 20 years, but damn it soon I will be!

Only possibility I see is if he got a: social/cultural visa with a local sponsor, or a business visa. Having said that; I'm not up-to-date on Indonesia's current policies regarding these visas in regard to COVID. I do know, like you probably do, that tourist visas on arrival have been suspended to at least 2021. EDIT: oh wait, Indonesia ranking very high on the corruption index, there is a possibility he has paid of/used his fame/money as leverage to come in. Just saying.

Checking the visa restrictions on Bali.. not sure how Kelly got in, and yes, I'm not a fan of the special treatment unless someone can explain it to me : 'Other than [international travelers being banned from Bali], the Balinese government has released a statement detailing who and what are allowed to enter the island. They include transports of basic security, logistical, and medical purposes, diplomatic personnel, personnel working for government projects, and personnel related to COVID-19 aid management. The Vice Governor of Bali in a conference feed also added that entries are allowed for patients in need of emergency help, passengers attending to urgent matters like death or illness in the immediate family, and repatriated migrant workers and overseas Indonesian students.'

I don't think so, I think the government is planning on a special visa for digital nomads, but it's just talk at the moment.

after watching ALOT of your channel, it feels like ulu's is best surfed by flying down the line gracefully and pulling into the barrel section. not top to bottom WSL hacks that kill all your speed.

While families being separated but most importantly majority of the island being unemployed due to the lock-down resulting in huge increase of mental issues, domestic violence, drug abuse and suicides a rich dude comes for surf trip. Interesting.

I am big Kelly fan since I was a kid. Kelly is a rich dude with the highest connections so let's knot question this fact. It sounds the way it is. He would know his surf trip will hurt many people but I hope he also knew it would open up a discussion and might help Bali to open up faster..

For all you know he's doing what he can to support the local community and just doesn't want to virtue signal and announce it to everyone. Also how are we all responsible? None of us caused this and we're all doing what we can to get by. If anyone should be blamed it's the CCP, they unleashed this (completely avoidable situation) on the world. You can spin it like you were trying to be uplifting but it's clear you were trying to be divisive, which is why you mentioned the irrelevant fact that he has money.
