I remember asking the hairdresser to do this style for me when I was in grade 6 because I loved Kelly, she laughed.🙁

I feel the reason Beyonce more popular is Kelly doesn't have the stage presences.. Beyonce has a very heavy stage presence. Like you can feel a person like her coming in the room before she comes in! Lol Kelly is physically prettier tho.. Beyonce low key agrees and says this in brown skin girl song.

..I love Kelly, I love dark and lovely, I'm ain't the one to be talking about these sisters heads, she a good face for the company.

And it's just common, accepted and encouraged. And I stand up for the sisters. I ain't the fashion police and ain't trying to be nobody head police. ...you see these unkempt funky feet, funky butt dudes sitting around all day long talking about somebody wig, weave or extension, and then they turned right around and act like they being all conscious and sheet. And I be really looking at them like they crazy and they ARE. Not to mention the rusty butt pot belly bum has the umittigated odacity, to critique a sisters body and weight, and face, UNSOLICITED.

Oh wow we came a long way

I always thought that Kelly was waaaay better looking than Beyonce - it's just that Bey got to move forward to become more successful because of the colorism (from us and them) and lighter complexion when dealing with "the industry" - I even saw an interview with Matthew Knowles (Bey's own dad) stating that this is the case.....

Blacks conforming to other beauty standards, I read the comments and am shocked how people don’t get it! How is her straight hair the standard of beautiful hair for black women??? If you can’t get that or have an excuse like, “everyone’s free to choose what to do with their hair” then you are also mentally enslaved. I’d love to see her rocking her beautiful natural God-given nappy hair...yeah, Beyoncé too!

Black American have worn straight hair for ages and it's what many of us prefer. Worry about yourself.

Work that hair Kelly,

Dark & Lovely was 1 brand of many hair perms-short for permanent. Meanwhile a “touch up” was required every 6-8 weeks 🤔 Thus the permanent was phased into hair relaxer.

Always considered expecting anyone to change their natural hair was just not right. It's their hair Not mine
