People, go read the protocols and what Cannes film festival director says about it. There, is everything explained, but some people think they can break the rules (which are strict) and expect to be treated like "queens" in this serious and glamorous festival. That's why in the past years this event started to get ridiculous, because some "sweet hearts" think they can do whatever they want without getting banned, and then they feel offended and start with the "racism". If they want respect they also must respect the instructions and strict rules. This year the security was harsh on the rules, which again were not followed.

Basically every one on the carpet is rushed and escorted, I have been there, you can not take your time, and stop as much as you want, they will rush you to move! it happens with everyone except the people in the movie premiering

I agree. As someone who works in entertainment security, there are different tiers of celebrity, especially at Cannes and Kelly wouldn't have been viewed as an A plus celebrity, in fact they probably mistook her for a regular guest who was late which is why she was being rushed along... unfortunately security have a job to do which is to move traffic along the carpet before the screening starts.
