As a woman who was abused. I cringe and cry when I see this video. I was able to get free with the help of the LAW. I encourage woman to leave and insulate yourselves. My abuser also knew the law and was able to evade for some time. I went through 9 police officers before 1 believed me. I had to record my abuser to free myself. Much prayer to all abused woman. My family whom I was isolated from was right there waiting for my healing journey. You are not alone. We are out here praying and rooting for you. It’s ok to leave! Joy comes in the morning.

1:30 It's important to note that Cassie was much younger than JLo was when she started dating Diddy. Also at that point, Diddy was also much older (richer, and more powerful) than when he was with JLo. And Cassie was signed to Diddy. All of these things play into the amount of power and control an abuser has over victims, emotionally/psychologically, financially, and systematically. Also, Slim Thug was not wrong for being skeptical, he was wrong for being dismissive. Saying that you're not sure and waiting on evidence is very different from accusing someone of flat out lying without any evidence and that's what he did. Support is something that should be earned on both sides, for the accusers and the accused. The way we support our community isn't just blindly riding for everyone who appears to be black, it's also raising the bar holding ourselves to a higher standard so that we can collectively be better and do better.
