I've enjoyed Scott Grimes ever since he was on ER. Don't anyone discuss my Grimes, word! Oh, and yeah, Gordon is a cool character.

ALL of you are FUN characters to follow. You really captured the genre. WELL DONE. Kelly is a great actress, perfect timing with her lines (could say that about everyone so far though, lol). Love your show guys.

I have a feeling he's going to be like ensign Kim except without the additional years of waiting, and this is not start Trek. And "nice burn" Bortus!

People shouldn’t be promoted based on time served. It should be by merit.

This was a very pointed put-down of the infamous scene between Bill Cosby and his son Theo. "Why can't I be like 'regular people'? Why can't you love me if I'm not a doctor or a lawyer, but because I am your son?" Warm applause from studio audience. Cosby replies "That's the DUMBEST THING I've ever heard! I brought you in this world; I can take you out!" Audience bursts into hysterical laughter. The Orville did a real paradigm shift last night. Not everyone can be in command, be brilliant, be better than everyone "regular." And The Orville says to Gordon that they love him anyway and he is one of the best pilots in the fleet. And THAT IS OKAY! They love Gordon just like he is. Not everyone can be a Mensa member. And they, the regular people, are still worthy of love and respect. Great for young people who feel defeated by life because they're not "the best" and so they think they are total failures in life. Dr. King said "all work has dignity." And Dr. King was right.

It feels like they not as much showed him that he can't do it, more like that he wouldn't want to do it.

He'd be ths Orville equivalent of Captain Merrick. One week into his career, he'd turn a primitive planet into ancient Rome.

He will fail. Deadpan

Anyone else forget that she’s the bad guy in John Wick?

Here's a scene that somebody should figure out how to create. Maybe in the new Orville series. Or maybe in one of the new Star Trek movies that would be coming up or any science fiction for that matter. A spaceship has to get caught to close to ensure some gravitational waves. The results of which would be violent expansion and contraction of space-time. That would look pretty cool to see someone being shaken like that. Maybe the evil villain can be launched into the gravitational field of a couple of orbiting neutron stars or black holes. Or maybe the Orville can escape from a gravitational field like that. I'm just saying that would be a really great scene. All right I'll leave it to the rest of you directors are writers to do the rest you have the idea

Will he? He's a bit of a pillock. But likeable!

He did fail ... not cut out to be a bridge officer of the line ... just as Troi wasn't, or Dr. Crusher for that matter. Those latter 2 were just nods to the Secular progressive PC crowd. If you''re good at something, or the 'best' at something, that's quite enough to hang your hat on, Gordon.
