Loved this reaction! I agree with every word. This is my favorite original song from her. This entire album was phenomenal. She did 6 songs from this album in the Nashville sessions. All of them are excellent. As far as other favorite performances, the Billboard Awards 2018 medley will blow your mind! It is one of my all time favorite performances of any artist period! And when we talk about Kellyoke covers, you have to check out what she did to Anits Ward's Ring my Bell!! It is legendary! Literally! And if you want to see just how versatile and how she truly can sing anything from any genre check out some of her Etta James, Aretha, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Righteous Brothers covers. She does those old songs some justice! Her cover of Whitney's The Queen of The Night is insane. She did a cover of I Put a Spell on You that is great. Ok, I’m posting this comment after you just said you haven’t heard this song! Say whaaaaa? Omg, I’m so excited to hear what you guys think! If you thought AFJ had soul before…well, wait til you hear this! I’ll do a comment update after I watch your whole reaction! Weeeee, so excited! Update: Yaaaaasssss! I enjoyed your reaction so much! I was the same way when I first saw this live performance. I had heard the song on her album before that, but there’s something about her live performances that takes it to another level for me. And those runs - what I love is that she doesn’t overdo them. She picks certain spots and uses them to add depth to the song rather than to “decorate” it. I’ve always loved that about her. I believe she did 4 other songs on her Nashville Live Session and they’re all awesome. I hope you also check out her Billboard music award medleys from 2018 and 2019. Talk about being a vocal chameleon - she performs other artists’ songs from different genres, in front of them, live! For a tear jerker, check out her Idol Finale performance of Piece By Piece. She wrote it about her dad. She also did a live version of It’s Quiet Uptown from Hamilton and that’s amazing too. I can go on and on but I think this is long enough! 😂. This is Kelly's first album after her 15 year contract with RCA Records because of winning American Idol in 2002. She said that she was contractually obligated to sign with RCA Records because of American Idol. Then in 2017, Kelly switched over to Atlantic Records and they let her do what she wanted to do with her career. This came out in 2018. This is the kind of record she wanted to do ever since 2002. Kelly was so happy to put out this record. It is HER record!!! This is her kind of songs through this album because it's her.

Kelly has sang "A Whole Lotta Woman, Move You, Love So Soft, I Don't Think About You, Didn't I, and Heat" from that album on The Voice, late night shows with Jimmy Fallon, on the BBMA show she sang A Whole Lotta Woman.
