Literally this whole performance was top tier. I feel like the drummer and bass aren’t getting enough credit, they were absolutely killing it

I watched her win idol and she was my first favorite musician and I have sang all her songs my whole life and her voice is out of this world! But Ariana is pretty damn talented too. Her voice is gorgeous, agile, and powerful too. I don't think either one outshone the other. They're great together And they're both great in their own ways.

This might be a "Christmas song," but this is extremely highly technical singing. The two singers are not competing over each others, but they are merely taking turns, and bolstering up their partners when it is not their turn. While I do already find Ariana Grande a very good singer, I think this is one of her best performances. I've always been a fan of Kelly Clarkson since season one of American Idol, but this also is one of her best performances.

Sorry but this cannot get any better. Flawless in every way. Arrangement, harmonies, pitch, composition, orchestra, orchestration, performance, sheer fucking brilliantness. Perfection personified. End of!!!!!! Merry Christmas you lovely people. Cheers Kelly and Ariana xxx

Ever since Ariana joined the voice and they started working together I kind of feel like this is a big sister little sister type of relationship and I'm loving it. Their voices melt together like butter, the song was absolutely beautiful.

The song is fun and within the classic Christmas spirit but what makes this performance so magnetic is how much fun is everyone having playing it. The director was excellent capturing all the musicians, the charismatic choir trio and of course, the phenomenal Kelly and Ariana collaboration. This is a completely gorgeous, fun and incredible performance where all the parts work perfectly. This should be a viral song/video. Merry Christmas everyone!

they are both so incredibly talented, i don't doubt their abilities. It's just that some parts of the song are giving pre-recorded. They are so incredibly talented to even record such a brilliant audio, however, this appears to be very doctored.

Singing is not an easy thing to do.They’re both wonderful singers!!!

The Black, Male backup singer has got some SWAGGER!!!! And all the instrumentalists are genuinely enjoying playing this!

Its March and I'm listening to this just because the live vocal is staggeringly good and it's a BOP I do not care it's a Christmas song. It gives me happy feet. I cannot even wrap my head around that this is live.

This is probably one of my favourite live performances of all time. The joy, the harmonization, chemistry and just the raw talent between Kelly and Ariana is absolutely amazing!

Ugh this song makes me unreasonably happy 🥰

They both have their own strong uniqueness and charisma in their voices but when they sing together, you can hear how harmonize it is. That's why I'm never getting bored with this performance. I strongly think this is one of the best duets I've ever heard in my life. Love u Kelly! Love u Ariana!

These vocals, the harmonies, the high notes, so clear, so beautiful. Just right, not forced & their voice compliment each other so well! They need to give us an album, damn! This is another level🙌👑

Two very beautiful ladies with 2 very beautiful voices. Both powerful and versatile.

We've seen Kelly usually hold back her power to be "polite" to the singers she duet with...so it's a delight to see her not hold back when paired with Ariana because this lady can totally match her. Although they were still both careful here not to oversing because it's a Christmas song, hope someday that they would tackle some other eally diva-ish belting number.

Ariana’s vocals are heavenly. So smooth.

You know, these two women are so different musically, and yet? Absolute perfection when brought together! And this BAND! Wow wow wow, so many talented musicians on stage, those beautiful backing harmonies. Could you imagine the energy in that studio? It’s infectious on this screen, and must’ve been overwhelmingly joyful to be there partaking in such a beautiful performance. :)

Their voices meld so nicely. It's not a competition between who can out sing who, idk why it has to go that route. Ariana was enjoying singing with another person because that's what she likes. You can tell from her other performances. She prob grew up listening to Kelly. I just wish there were more songs they had together.

@@yarsaz4347 Kelly won in 02, Ariana would've been about 9 at the time Kelly won, which would mean she was a kid at the start of her career. That would put Kelly's career age right on target at close to 20 years in the game.

We thought we knew heartbreak because of her lmao. She’s old enough to be an older sister or young aunt but not our mom or something lol. We love Kelly!!

Ariana was 8 years old when Kelly Clarkson won American idol. I am a huge Ariana fan but it must have been an honour for her to perform alongside a seasoned performer such as Kelly.

@@dari1741 Just because something isn't the original doesn't mean it was live. I used to do that all the time when I was performing. I would use one recording for whatever was being published and then another recording to present as "live" if I couldn't hit my notes for whatever reason. The "live" recording wasn't perfect and it was different enough to not sound like the original. Iirc Ariana was caught doing this before for segments with high runs, but I'm not 100% confident in that assertion. I guess the whole thing comes down to what is defined as "live". For me live is unedited, but by the phrase's definition singing live can have autotune, and so I would concede that this could well be live because of how advanced live audio production is. It wasn't unedited live though.

Ari's voice is so soothing and heavenly while Kelly's strong and high. They definitely complemented each other in this collab. All I did was kept on smiling while watching them. 🥰🥰🥰

The fact that this is better than the studio version is what amazes me. Every live performance from this special is better than the album versions to be honest.

Ariana has a wonderful sweet voice. I’ve never listened to her either. But Kelly is the bomb! She’s the best American Idol ever! She was the first and the best!! They’re absolutely wonderful singing this together. They really compliment each other!

Kelly really wants to share the spotlight with her band and wants people to appreciate them just as much as she does!! Everyone looks like they're having a blast up there!! What an evening it must have been for them all.

Christmas 2023. Puts me in the spirit! Played all over the radio but love watching the live performance. 😍🌲🎁

They look like they are having SO much fun and you can really hear it in their performance!! Both have absolutely beautiful voices that compliment each other so well. 💕

My favorite part is that this is a true COLLABORATION between the singers and not a COMPETITION. Both girls shine.
