Me too, I told my husband the same thing when I met him. I want a husband, but I don’t need a husband. I rather wants you than needs you. My opinion, I never thought kelly would have the same opinion as me. People look at me weird to say that, but that never change my mind. I am who I am, accept it or leave it.

Don't attend every argument!!! Man that one is on period....so many good gems from this interview
She's always been invited to the barbeque. So is Pink, Tina Marie, Dolly, Annie Lennox, Christina, Gaga. Some have better pipes than others. After this conversation you can tell she takes life to the fullest.

When she said Kelly is a talker she was NOT misspeaking lol but I LOVED every minute of this conversation! Her voice and little country accent! ❤
Kelly's not only an incredible vocalist and songwriter, but also an admirable human being. She has always been humble, raw, genuine and wiser as time goes by.
Kelly is a singing psychologist. Cause she is able to explore her situations and put it in song. Her circle of family and friends are her sound board.
Let's face it, Angie didn't have to ask much. Kelly is so forth coming and informative. Love her.

I love how kelly says these profound nuggets of wisdom in the most simplest of ways. And shes not even trying to sound wise or trying to really give advice. Shes just being her and saying what she learned in life
I love Kelly Clarkson! She is so down to earth. She is so relatable!
Am I the only one who didn't want to see this interview end? I have enjoyed every moment!
It was refreshing seeing Kelly from this POV! Angie killing it 🎉🔥🔥❤️🔥
I love that “I want you” over “I Need You”
KELLY HAS THE TYPE OF PERSONALITY THAT IS HARD NOT TO LIKE! SHE IS ALWAYS BUBBLY AND PERSONAL! I ❤ HER!
Great IRL Conversation! ….”Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.” --Maya Angelou
Kelly has always seemed very genuine to me. She’s def an empath and I love how it shows through her work
Everyone has the same reaction to Angie's story of her dad when she finds it out he wasn't dead. That is some movie stuff. 😲😲😲😲

Yeah being the 'I don't need you but I want to be with you" type of person is actually really hard but the lack of drama is so worth it. Always love her!
I’ve watched SEVERAL of these episodes of IRL. I must say and ashamed to say-that I didn’t think I would take much away from this conversation. For whatever reason, but if I’m open and honest I figured Kelly and I culturally didn’t have anything in common. But boy. Was I WRONG! We connect as WOMEN. MOTHERS. PROFESSIONALS. And everything else under the sun. Dare I say this was the best one for me. The way Angie is so DELICATELY and SEAMLESSLY tying in other conversations with previous guests that are HEAD ON THE NAIL significant to this particular interview is CRAZY. Lauren and Mike Tyson: EGO. Kelly Rowland: Father issues. I just am over the moon ❤️ Angie, thank you.
*looks for the heart button" because the like isn't enough. i'm obsessed with podcasts for everything in this episode
So, who wanna bet Kelly's words per minute is much higher than all of her other guests. The fact that she filmed 2 shows, THEN did this podcast is astounding (in a good way).

Many celebs can learn a lot from Kelly. Classy, respectful yet honest. There are many bitter exes who enjoy the toxicity and refuse to move on from a rel back 11 years ago, nor take ownership and work on themselves but will use buzzwords like therapy and mental health for press attention... many people pretend to be real unlike kelly.

Totally get what she means by "i don't need you, but i want you" it reminds of a conversation on Grey's Anatomy, when Meredith told Derek that she can live without him but she doesn't want to.

A most meaningful conversation between two amazing and honest women , well done Angie and Kelly!
Kelly is so happy & glowing. I'm gonna smack whoever keeps bugging her about dating etc. Let her live her life however she wanted. I was pissed when Mario Lopez asked her that & wanna be matched maker for her. So happy Kit Hoover was like u are enough as it is. I am truly love being single too Kelly. Society just don't get it
Thank you for having Kelly Clarkson on. It's nice to see Kelly Clarkson on the other side of the interview. Her strength, talent & charisma has won me over since American Idol ❤
You know this is a real, real convo when Kelly accent comes out
Amazing IRL Ang. Been a fan since HOT 97. Kelly literally lifted a ton of weight off my soul when she said what her therapist told her about being tough and show your honest emotions when things happen. I’ve always been told to never let the kids see you cry. Kelly’s show is amazing I TRULY feel like I’m on that couch with her sitting and chatting.
I feel like I need to listen to this interview every day for the rest of my life. Sheesh. Very powerful
Something about Kelly is so refreshing and just cleanses my soul 💐
Kelly’s southern accent is really coming out in this interview… maybe because she is so relaxed?
My children are without a father he dips in and out , not consistent at all, thank you guys for showing me it's not me it's him , it's his decision to be involved or ready to be a dad

I just got to the point in this podcast where you were both talking about lying being the worst. I once told my child (he was between 5-7) that I would rather he stab me than lie to me. He took that to heart and , will not lie to me even now.

This was such a great interview. It's nice to hear about real life. It had to be exhausting maintaining that façade. I love the chemistry between Angie and Kelly.
So much wisdom here. "Need" just isn't love. I wish more people understood this idea. "Need" points to "something's missing" and real love knows nothing is missing.

An amazing woman and human being. She doesn't place blame, takes ownership of her feelings and even though her ex was a TRUE dirtbag doesn't focus on him or making him the bad guy. Even if she didn't have kids with him I don't see her playing victim or acting differently. She focused on herself. Her emotions, feelings, her issues her background. A woman who had real therapy growth and maturity vs using it for social media clout. Kelly is a interesting Taurus! Enjoy the gypsy life Kelly and any guy would be lucky to fall in love with you when/if you are ready. PS I think Kelly's mom had like multiple divorces.

She's just so genuine and real. That's why she is so loved as an artist and talk show host!❤
Kelly's amazing! Being in love is nice but it comes down to "wanting" a relationship or "needing" one. She's so smart to be aware of the difference. One of my "takeaways" I learned from a friend... asked why he ate dessert first, he said you never know what could happen between dinner and dessert, so he eats his dessert first. It makes sense cause where is it written that you have to eat it after dinner? That became, 'ETC" which stands for "eat the cake!" Thanks, for such a great interview.
I love Kelly, she’s as genuine and authentic as they get! I’m so sorry she had to go through such heartache, but my heart is full seeing her healed. And better than ever! Way to be a great example to so many of us! Keep shining Kelly! You are the prize!

I have voted for her a lot in American Idol, I love this conversation with Angie. I told my husband that 13 years ago, I said it within a week of meeting him. I was sure of myself, marriage will not make me relevant, so if it comes thank Lord, if it doesn’t thank you Lord. So I want him but I didn’t need him. That still stand today, though I love him very much, we have two beautiful children. I feel like when you need someone too bad when things goes bad, you suffers more. Just my opinion.
