I'm not familiar with him or his interviews, but I felt like he almost wasn't listening half of the time and would ask questions she'd just answered or talked about. That was a little irritating, especially because she was so passionate about her answers.

Jon Harris True, but I'm using logic and facts. In an interview with Funk Flex on HOT 97, Nas said Kelis caught a bad rap, and he retracted his statement that Kelis emptied out the house leaving only the green dress. He said she only took pictures and things that were sentimental to both of them.

  • @WesuAce06

This is so real. One thing I have always loved and noticed about Kelis is that despite her separation from Nas you NEVER heard her speak ill of him in the media. I always thought it was because she still loved him and secretly wanted to be back with him, but after this interview it is very clear that she was dealing with a lot of pain. Even in this interview you can see her reliving some of those moments. She is a superstar and I'm so inspired by the strength she displayed during this interview.

When she said her son CHOSE to call his stepdad “Papa” that struck a chord with me. My sister took responsibility for our little cousin (aka my niece) when she was practically a newborn. One day, out of nowhere, I think she was about 3 or 4 years old, she started calling my sister “mommy.” And as she got older, when people would correct her, she would explain that she has two moms. Cherrelle G. No. What I am saying is that this woman is a very high level narcissist. Most of this video is twisted half truths and outright lies. Because your truth is similar to her lies, you think she is telling your story. But what she is actually doing is publicly demonizing her kids father out of spite and narcissistic rage.. she is an abusive mentally unstable person with an addictive personality.she ADMITTED that in this video... she is sick. I hope nas gets his son... this video will surely help him.

I loved Nas music and his AfroCentric stance since day one. I loved Kelis' strength, creative energy and individuality as an Artist and a Wombman. I was so happy when they hooked up and got married, but as two strong personalities it was going to be challenging I guessed if one party struggled to compromise when required and much as I rated Nas, I had begun to see the egotistical character for what it was. I spent a lot of time in the early 90's in the States and skirted the Horrorweid/Hollywood industry...I had the pleasure of being Biggies guest at the After party of his one show he did in the UK; suffice it to say, I am neither new to the characters and shenanigans in the music industry or in the least interested in so called 'celebrity and celebrities'. But this interview with Kelis,... Wow! Girl I was shedding tears right there with you! You're even more beautiful and strong than I realised and so, so dignified in your dealings with Nas, who by the way, I lost all RAspect for after 'God's Son' and realized he too had souled out, like so many others especially in the Rap game... Nas if you had ANY shame, you would cease this carnival of exposing your sun to the Judicial shitstem and making fat lawyers even fatter! Now that I know you to be a woman beater too, damn the last vestige of RAspect I had for you, just flew out the window. But you're a narcissist so you have no feelings, no shame.. 😒 Kelis, more power to you SiStar💪🏿🌟💜 may you itinually be protected and favoured and walk in your truth and itinue to be A Black Girl Who Rocks! 💜🙌🌟

I always thought it was suspicious that Kelis divorced Nas when she was 7 months pregnant. No woman, especially that far along in their pregnancy, wants to leave their husband unless things are very bad. I believe her when she says Nas was abusive. It's unfortunate because I like his music and I liked them as a couple, but I'm glad she is happily married with a man who appreciates her. Shame on Nas for mistreating her and not being an active parent.

GREAT INTERVIEW--Thank you for being so respectful and for giving Kelis an opportunity to tell her story and be heard. Nas's behavior sounds like textbook abuser. Kudos to her for continuing to thrive and live her life despite all his attempts to dominate her and snuff out her light, including with lies and legal BS (abusers love abusing the court system). As a survivor myself, I have such deep admiration for people who share children with their former abuser and must navigate a way for the sake of their child.

Nobody is "goals" to me in regards to their relationship. She has absolutely been quiet for the longest and it sucks that she was suffering in silence and being painted as a gold digger. She took some blame and I'm going to explain that part for people that wont understand this. An often undiscussed aspect of Domestic Violence is that the victim often hits back (or even at most is sometimes so mad for past abuse that they may even start confrontations). That's human. I could never let some man beat me and I'd leave because I know that if I stayed I'd probably end up killing him. So for his safety (not just mine) I'd leave. Plus my boy would never become a man that hits women. The point is two women now have accused the same man of beating the shit out of them.
