It's an interesting thing to hear her say that. I have abilities, but I most certainly didn't choose them and I lived in denial for decades because I was raised christian. Now I am no longer in denial but I don't necessarily try to use them, or like..help my abilitors grow. I don't really have control over them and my main ability can cause me a lot of pain, but I also can't ignore them like I used to because I could have saved some people's lives in my twenties and I ignored my "visions". A lot of my abilities have to do with death and what's to come and a lot of it is negative so..it's a weight I carry. I also can feel people's energy and thoughts and sigh that can cause a lot of pain too. I have a few other pretty incredible and surre abilities that I enjoy much more that have to do with energy and time, but they aren't raau to describe and I haven't experienced them a lot..they are a more rare occurance in my life, but when I do experience them it is an amazing, elevating feeling and quite phenomenal. But as I said, I never chose or sought out these things and certainly never thought about any payment because it's never been of my control. On the downside, there are things I can't do that many others can. For one example, I have aphantasia, and when I learned about this it really upset me for weeks and even months..thinking about it and realizing how it shaped my life and perspective..it was a lot to digest.
