I agree with you great song and great comment. I was talking about Braxon Best and his asshole comment. not you! sorry if i caused any confusion.
What a voice I thought Vern Gosdin was the best Keith came along and just killed it I wish you was here today goodbye old friend
R I P Keith top shelf nothing lest for the best ....
LOVE THIS
LEGEND
Sounds alot like a friend I know....
To get Keith Whitley and Daryl Singletary I'd give him about all of them.
So sad. This song reminds me so much of my brother and his relationship with alcohol. His 'old friend' finally killed his liver 10 months ago. RIP Ronny.

The message behind this song is like kieth is talking to me
Keith Keith Whitley George Jones Merle Haggard and Buck Owens you are all sadly missed your music will live on forever
My old friend damn near killed me,no matter if its a bottle of beer or a bottle of pills!!!started when I was 12 an went till I can't even remember, but God saved me in 2009,He's what it took, but Keith Whitley is and was my favorite singer!!!!Clean at last,Clean at last!!!
Love it ole pal Keith was one my favorites rip I’m from Floyd county Kentucky it’s not to far from where he’s from
Take all this so called modern country music crap and stick it where the sun don't shine this is real country music rip Keith
God rest Keith Whitley. I’d love to see a duet with Gary Stewart, talk about talent. That’d be a pay per view honky tonk session.

Gah lay I wish I could've met keith! I relate to every damn word he says in every song he sang, I feel the same way u did, I cant put the bottle down either buddy. I'll see you soon I'm sure, r.i.p. u get me thru every day.
I would love to have him back but at what cost
I can relate to this song my partner loves the bottle more than me 🍷🍷
See you soon 💖
I had some good times with this song with . jimbeam and Jack and acasionally my beer but one day I realize the people I hurt including my self and I new it was time to give it up .and did it on my .I didn't need rehab if you really want to stop you along with.alot of other things if you feel you can't there's help out there you just gotta ask for it sometime s but if you no.a loved one who has addiction don't give up on them.just be there for support but only if they.are willing to do that.
The song sounds similar to one of the possums I know it's Keith Whitley but as I listen I can hear a Little George Jones sad there both gone rest in peace both of you
i sense some jones in this
Zhe was one of my fa ore sanders thinks for sharing
I let the bottle get me down I guess I just got lucky That's all lucky. It's caused me alot of pain and meserey.
After that,s the way they feel and they think that the bottle is their best friend but actually it is their worst enemy
check out WESLEY DENNIS version....
Sorry for your loss jailbelle.
Darryl and Ken remind me of Keith but the only person who gives me that feeling in my stomach and can make me cry is Chris Young.
I think about my old friend every but I didn't have a woman to turn to
I could have written this song, sounds like my life.

Years ago David Keith (Officer and a Gentlemen) was working on a KW movie. However due to legal issues the movie was scrapped. As much I hate to say this but I think Justin Timberlake would make a good KW, he kinda has the looks and he respects country music.
they will for sure I've been t here
Sounds kind of like Tennessee Whiskey by George Jones.

This is a great song. Did he cut a formal version or did someone else cover this?
