Keith Emerson the one and only. The only man able to play with three fingers much more better than anyone else with ten. Simply, the greatest!!!! ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥

This was done at the Moscow show in 2008. Even with 3 fingers going, Emerson could outplay anyone. I (I was his tech) recall hearing the bass player say - Man, how do you do it? I get one note in for every 32 you play). I miss the guy terribly. These were the best and fun days for him.

OK, I miss him too as he was an inspiration for me all of my life. But cmon, he unfortunately couldn´t outplay good keyboardists at this stage of his inability anymore. I watched 2 shows of the reunited ELP in Germany and I felt so immensely sorry for him as he couldn´t play his old stuff properly. Everything was very sloppy and I was always afraid of him when they announced a piece that was difficult to play. But it was a funny experience in the audience back then. I watched him play, but in my mind mixed it with my memories of times when he was at his prime. And by the way, I never understood that he kept on playing live. He could have composed or arranged music. Or he could have been a teacher or whatever. But no, he obviously insisted to keep on playing although that was hardly possible.

Happy to have Keith and Greg as a part of my avatar. "Nutrocker" (one of my favorite ELP songs) was a cover, performed in 1962 by B. Bumble and the Stingers. I find it interesting that Keith was able to mix other songs into Nutrocker to make different versions of it.

What was done by Emerson,Lake and Palmer and is redone here by the Keith Emerson Band in this Moscow Concert is a cover of Kim Foley's Nutrocker. How Kim Foley made up the piece I can't tell you but it is Foley's music that Keith Emerson chose to use. Something a bit more lively than the classical music that ELP was doing at the time.

Giuliano Motta ELP got the piece of music titled "Nutrocker" from Kim Foley. Where or how Kim Foley came up with Nutrocker I know not but none the less Foley is from whom Keith got the piece.
