I come from a German family. I grew up eating rouladen with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. As a kid, I would pile my red cabbage on top of the mashed potatoes, instead of using gravy. Rouladen is a comfort food that’s really good on a cold, rainy day. And it’s super nostalgic to me. I loved watching Keith eating my childhood favorite food.

This baby food... I'm a nanny and when kids were getting older than 12 months, I was adding a bit of salt and herbs to this Gerber meals (with parents approval of course). You get used to the taste of Vegemite as most of us has eaten vegemite or Marmite since we were children. Fairy bread is both NZ And Australian we have it at our Birthday parties when we were young i used to put Apricot Jam with the 100 and Thousands. Hahaha Also for anyone that's interested: you don't say "¿Qué es tu comida favorita?", you say "¿Cuál es tu comida favorita?", which translates literally to "Which is your favorite food?". The literal translation from English gives you "qué" but that's not grammatically correct. It almost sounds like a philosophical question if you say it like that but mostly it just sounds wrong/weird to a native speaker. Either way, the person will still understand your question so you don't have to worry about that

The party sandwich loaf is a STAPLE of holiday meals in my family and one of my personal faves! We do salmon spread, chicken salad, ham salad and egg salad, and put cream cheese on the outside (some old recipes call for cheez whiz). It's the perfect meal for the holidays because a loaf can last a few days and it's lighter than a lot of other holiday foods. It's also pretty common where I live (Quebec) for grocery stores to sell bread sliced the "wrong" way during the holidays. They also make coloured (usually red or green) versions.
