The SX90R Tenors are the best... I've been playing two of them for years now! Gorgeous big sound and I've never had any mechanical problem whatsoever!

I would love this horn. I tried it out at the NAMM show last year I though It was the best sounding tenor in the entire convention center.

Yeah, Euge Groove could have chosen whatever new tenor he wanted, and he chose an SX90R (Shadow) and recorded most of his smash smooth jazz albums with it.

THIS IS A GREAT VID/REVIEW... exactly what EVERY sax player wants to know about any sax (or instrument) they're interested in/considering. Amazing how few get how to make a video demonstrating the intricacies of different saxes/lines. I particularly like the... "Here is me unboxing my new (insert name here) sax" ... literally ALL they show. Why not just leave out the sax and film the cardboard box! I'd get as much info!... Uugghhhh!!! Thanx...

Good Morning! What is your real impression about the Keilwerth sax. Positive and negative points. What would you say about them in a general assessment? Is it a great sasophone or not? Thank you! P.S .: Sorry to not speak your language and so I used Google translator and hope I have been clear.

Anyone know who I should contact to get more infos about a possible Toneking? I mention 'possible' cuz I saw an 80s Keilwerth Special Tenor but it doesn't specify Toneking. It's not a SX either. I even wrote at Keilwerth directly but I didn't get a specific answer.

the DL and DLS are soprano models only. based on Dave lineman's input. the mix is their answer to all the lower priced yanigasawa and mauriat those type of horns but it's still made in Europe. not China.

@@jrbeckman2194 To some degree, yes. Tenors tend to be worse, and my JKs tenor was woeful.

I have another comment (a question actually): A few years back I ran into a band teacher who was supplying PRESTINI saxes to students for rental and swore by them. Metal? Linkages? Superior set up? Do YOU know ANYTHING about these saxes? I'm intrigued because I was again talking to a guy the other day in a music store when it came up again - he too said he once owned one and loved it. He was actually suggesting a young player who was considering a used Jupiter student horn, purchase a NEW PRESTINI INTERMEDIATE SAX AT THE SAME PRICE I asked what made it intermediate (Kind of like a Jupiter Carnegie I suppose)? Although I searched and searched, I found only a couple forum posts about OLD Prestini horns, NOTHING on newer horns; except a couple info-free ridiculous company vids - "Lalo Chavez playing a Prestini Curved Soprano and another poorly lit "Lalo Playing a Prestini Tenor." That's it, Oh... sorry, and another with a kid playing a scale??? Wth? Sadly, to the discerning eye, the new Classic horn certainly looks like they too have gone cheap Chinese (of course, some aren't all that bad, depending on the metal and linkage/stencil; but of course, everyone knows... it's a crap shoot). But Prestini seems to think "set up in America" is gonna make all the difference. This is twice I've been intrigued, but intrigued certainly doesn't sell saxes... and the company seems to have no interest in marketing... AT ALL! Admittedly, the TWO OLD FORUM REVIEWS WERE VERY POSITIVE, but ott there's NOTHING! Even their website suks. For a (formerly??) Italian line of saxes that's been around since 1870, the fact there is such little info on the web is... odd. They may have built a company by NOT spending on marketing, but HELLO, we're living in the FREE information age, where you can actually MAKE MONEY BY POSTING VIDS??? Interesting, a mysterious company with a very old company with a mysterious line of saxes no one has virtually ever heard of... I suppose at first no one had ever heard of Stradivarius... lol ???

Lousy demo. Real bad playing. Didn’t do justice to the horn.
