Kei Nishikori vs Jo Tsonga - PARIS 2016 Highlights HD
Nishikori needed just 22 minutes to shut out Tsonga in the opening set, marking the first time the Frenchman lost a set 0-6 since last year’s Masters 1000 event in Shanghai (vs. Nadal). Wanting a more competitive match, the French crowd voiced their displeasure at Tsonga.
“My reaction is, Okay, you're booing me? No problem. I'm going to continue to try to do my best,” said Tsonga. “It was a good thing for me when they booed, because it made me react and become more aggressive afterwards.”
But Tsonga rebounded strongly by grabbing the break of serve in the second set to level the match. The Japanese star broke Tsonga at 4-3 and held two match points on his serve in the next game, but the Frenchman erased them with gutsy tennis and eventually forced a final-set tie-break. Tsonga went on a four-point run to lead 4/1 and closed out the contest with his second match point in exactly two hours.
Fittingly, Tsonga also prevailed after receiving his last 0-6 set against Nadal in Shanghai.

Wow, Tsonga got so lucky with that net shot, was a free point and saved 1/2 match points, and then the crowd started cheering faults and nishikori double faulted and Tsonga broke back. Then some more insane luck during last tie break and then unfortunately Nishi started tilting and unfortunately lost the match.

Back from a bagel. Both of these guys have amazing skills
Damnit France have some equality to both players and be polite and not cheer during play..
interesting how Tsonga keeps both feet planted on the serve now. He used to bring his right for up, like a Nadal, Murray, or Ljubicic/ Ivanisevic serve.

In Japan who would not be happy to see Kei come back after 2 match points even on a double fault? The crowd is very close of the court, thats why that seems like the crowd was impolite. But after all, you're right French's crowd is really bad. But just the crowd don't say every Frenchman don't know about what is Tennis. Thanks

@Albert_Hu

Sombrero Malgache Tsonga is French, Nishikori is Japanese. Paris is in France, not Japan, so who did you think the majority would be cheering for? It's all about pride in one's country, and the athletes that represent that country, so of course you would Cheer for the player on your side. Of course I'm not saying booing the opposite side is the best way to go, but still. Now the US open is an entirely different story. Americans just love Federer, that's that

Is there a change in this court dimensions as compared to other it appears to be wide and small in terms of length????or is it the camera angle???

its the same court mate, if not it wouldnt be legal, its just the angle which is quite cool since its court level, i recorded some footage by myself at the us open this year of this type so i invite you to watch it on my channel to note the difference and see that also it looks faster. have a nice day
Awesome!
Great angle!!!
I think crowd is within this sport
How do you achieve that curve at 2:30? I know it’s a slice serve, but I can’t see myself getting that much of a curve with spin. Any tips?

The camera fps level make it seems slower than it is
Holy shitt Tsonga won the match by a centimeter of the ball going over the net and landing on top of the line. Luckiest match point save ever! And how the hell did he lose 0-6?
I can't believe French are doing "shh" call when they get noisy. Because it's behavior we Japanese are told to do so in junior high school lol
Nishikori should improve mentally !! Nishikori give up quickly when he lose any game

Gotta feel bad for Nishikori. Should've won easily, but the crowd was obviously against him.
