I don't understand why people forget to mention Ashaji's name when listing the legendary singers of India. She holds the record for being the most recorded artist in the world along with several national awards and 7-8 filmfare awards. Also she was honoured with Padma vibhushan (the second highest civilian honour). She was the most versatile voice ever recorded. Lataji, Janaki Amma, P. Susheela Amma, Chithra ji, Geeta Dutt ji, Alkaji, Anuradhaji, Jaspinder ji and many other great female singers are excellent without a doubt but not mentioning Ashaji's name in it is just insulting.

Her voice is incredible someone can not guess her age according her voice, her voice is just like 18 yrs old i always love this voice and her singing pattern

It is not easy to sing songs live with such perfection. Chitra is so humble despite being such a great artist. Respect to you mam.

At 1:49 the male vocalist doesn't come in and Chitra knows, before we even realise what's happened, she tells him to come in! What a sense of timing and musicality! Wow. Another level.

Most number of national awards by a female singer ever in the history of Indian film industry ever seen and still no one can break that record.she is always prides of Indian music and also a living LEGEND.
