    As Ryan C said, use a forward sealing tap to stop from sticking. Would also suggest tap plugs, to prevent insects and especially fruit flies from crawling up into the tap.

    Great project idea...I've just completed a "mancave" and want to move my lanai kegerator into it...this would be a good project...especially adding the additional beverage cooler

    How did you handle ventilating the coils when the kegerator is in the cabinet? Does it overheat?

  • @travisadventureprojects4578

    @travisadventureprojects4578

    4 жыл бұрын

    There is no back to the cabinet behind the kegerator so air can pass through. There is also 2"-3" on all sides to allow air to circulate. No overheating issues!

    Do different brands of kegs have different connections and pressures? If so how do you over come that?

  • @travisadventureprojects4578

    @travisadventureprojects4578

    For Corny kegs there are 2 styles, ball lock and pin lock fittings. Homebrewers use both styles of fittings basically you just want to choose a fitting style and stick with it. It seemed to me ball lock kegs were a little easier to come by so I went with that style. As for pressures if you have a single regulator with 2 lines like I do you can only set one pressure. You want to find a good serving pressure for your system so you can pour, but not have it blow a bunch of foam out from to high of a pressure. That pressure is usually around 8-15PSI depending on the lengths of your hoses. This servings pressure will keep your beer carbonated as once it reaches an equilibrium it will be holding as much CO2 as the beer can at that temperature.
