Watching you all made me appreciative of my journey with self and my relationship and made me realize what I needed to change in self to value my man more and especially after 7 years were at a place of being way better mindful selfaware accountable giving each other ease realizing we're growing learning it's new to us both even after 7 years

Was smiling ear to ear the entire episode. Can't wait to experience this type of love and reciprocate it back as well.

I think unconditional love tend to come more naturally to ladies, which is why we find ourselves in toxic situations. Not wanting to give up on someone and seeing the potential when we should just leave and Pray for that person from a far.

It’s the emotional intelligence for me!!!! Men need safe spaces like this 💯. This is a great episode! I think that I am in a similar position as Jalon(talking to someone long-distance). I think that if a man and woman have been talking and getting to know each other on a daily basis, it is not thirsty if a man decides to take the relationship to the next level. Jalon was already in, but feeling the chemistry in person was ultimately the deciding factor to enter into an official relationship. It was well planned out, and the intention was there. That is something that I believe most women can appreciate. Also, I love the communication notebook idea from Duke as well as the sticky notes from Omar. Thank you guys for sharing!

Jalon was on FIRE this episode. this was good!

I don't think I would ever want to love a romantic partner unconditionally. My love is definitely dependent on how I'm being treated. So, if someone is really hurting me and it becomes repetitive, my heart is going to into protective mode. My self love needs to supercede my love for someone else.

@49:25, I love to write as well as it helps me process my emotions and thoughts. I know for a fact I wouldn’t want to rely on writing my responses in a book every time I get upset. I say this because in the past, I feared how emotional I got in my responding. I’m learning to just say what’s on my mind. It’s all about processing emotions for me and getting the message across. Without this, I’d get more frustrated when the person is not responding how I want them to when I haven’t even spoken my mind.

If we’ve been talking for a few months and I haven’t felt anything alarming or off-putting about the guy, I would’ve happily skipped my tail to the airport lol the way he described how it happened would’ve been a perfect green light for me.

57:00 basically describing a woman's humanness. Woman shouldn't pressure themselves or be pressed by a partner to be trapped in vanity. Pressure to look good when going out, look good at home, look good going to to sleep, look good waking up. No sane human can maintain that and shouldn't have to just to be cared for in a relationship

Awesome episode. Jalon is very insightful and very self aware. However he was definitely giving thirsty. Perhaps he really liked the girl but not meeting her in person and doing all those grand gestures is a lot. I’m glad it worked out though.

I’m scary so I wouldn’t have took the trip with a man I’ve never physically met. I need to know where your mom, grandma, bro and auntie live. 🤣🤣
