The RIP at the beginning 💀 😂 That water butt is fab, even more so because they install it too. All the flowers on your plot are so beautiful and those purple beans are definitely on my list for next year. Really impressed how well your beans are all doing. They’re so slow here. Lovely to see Linda’s plot. I had never noticed that section of the plot looks like a real quarter of the union flag. I can’t unsee that now 😊❤ Tomatoes look fab to me. They’re catching up. Hi Danny, both plots are looking fabulous now. All of our tomatoes are behind this year. Mine have fruit but they are taking forever to ripen! I'm growing purple queen beans and you are quite right they are so much easier to spot when harvesting. Hopefully you are now enjoying your annual leave? That veg Trug is brilliant Danny. I’ve struggled with mine. Last year was supposed to be a salad bed and didn’t do well and this year I put strawberries in it and no luck. Everything is starting to look good and loving the other allotment plots and other gardeners 👍

I think the success is down to how I filled it.. I put cococoir in the bottom.. then well rotted manure I bought .. then compost and then mulched the top with cococoir too. It's worked really really well

Greenhouses can certainly be valuable... I went to check on a brassica in mine the other day (I forgot what sort I planted)... pulled a leaf back and discovered a lovely full head of cauliflower. It's nice to have things ticking over while everything else is a bit bleak (we are in mid winter down here in Australia now). The plots are both looking lovely!

So much fun in your tiny community! Lol,Linda spotted borage and another😂 and next year you will all be spotting borage😂. Sweet peas look great and it just is quite the cornucopia of test plots-like a quilt. Thanks for tomato update. I’ve been concerned about ours because of all the rain this year and I believe lack of enough sun. The wilt has arrived 3 weeks early and trying to stave it off. I’ve never had a problem growing monster tomatoes and finally had a dry spell and gave them liquid fertilizer and seeing some growth now. I think I’ve been stuck inside more because of either heat, humidity, rain or mosquitoes so I watch more videos and see larger tomatoes in other gardens and lose track of how big ours should be. It is usually the first week of August we are starting to can them. Wins and losses here also with deer chomping and rabbits learning to dig under fence. We had less pressure in last year’s drought. Hope you get sun for your days off!

Hi Danny, house and Latah look okay as do your poly tunnel toms. I know what you mean about the bee's, by now I normally have that many bees in the garden visiting the large buddleia, loads of agapanthus, lavenders and allium drumsticks but they have none on them. Enjoy your holidays.

@@TheGrowUpChannel Hi Danny, yes I saw them it's interesting how from the same seed my are so different (3-4 main stems) and I think it's the potting on timing because I left three in there smaller pots and they stayed single stem. I was giving them away.

So glad you are using that greenhouse. It's so nice. Thank you for growing on my next lot of beans in your polytunnel, Danny. Great update. Linda's plots are beautiful, and I absolutely love her triangular plot.

That's a tad daft! It's not always the case here. It's only now and then they offer the barrels. Keep an eye out as it's usually start of summer. Which I also find odd. Would be better to offer start of spring or late December so you can fill them haha

So I went to Severn Trent water website on your rcommendation Danny and apparently my post code does not qualify for a free water butt and fitting. They offer £10 discount instead and no fitting. £39 for your 200 ltr butt and stand, £9.99 for drain downpipe and connector kit £7.99 for the tap. Just to say, I’ve never known you to be so mucky as the last couple of videos chuck. Plot looks great despite your reduced visits. I’ve not been to my allotment for 3 weeks except for a quick harvest when I got back from holiday and last weekend I jarred my back doing housework which prevented me going to the allotment. Never doing housework before going again!! 😂usual day off today but my back is still too bad so not able to go today either. Weeds will have taken over. 😞😔☹️

Hello! You'd have to contact your local water supplier. Mines Dwr Cwmru and at the moment they are offering free waterbutts and fitted all for free :) I got the link off their Facebook page 😊🌱

So u just rang up the water company and asked them about putting in a water barrel for free.
