I've struggled with anxiety and depression my whole life. it's made my life challenging to say the least. I do understand. Unfortunately I don't have any answers other than keep doing what you're doing. Living in the now is so important. And finding a spirituality that works for you is equally as important. I feel for you. Some days I literally have toforce myself to get out of the house and live life. Especially now that my children are grown and live on their own. And I'm single. Thank you for showing your vulnerability. It helps to know we aren't alone in this journey of life. Big hugs.

Some people get manicures and pedicures every two weeks, I go sit on couch and tell my story. Talk therapy has been very beneficial to me. I never had anyone in my life who I could tell all my secrets, share all my vulnerabilities, all my human thoughts, mistakes without fearing judgement. I'm going thru a very unpredictable stage in my life right now, and in six weeks I will either have hit a high or by then everything will come crashing down. :( I always know when the stress or fear is affecting me and it's when I can't find my car. haha I know that's weird. It's my tell tale sign. I walked out of the theatre this evening (went to see "45 years") and when I walked out I was completely confused. Couldn't recall where I left it. This only happens when I'm under duress. I had a great day today hanging out with myself, but as soon as I arrived home, the reality of everything kind of hit me in the face. Well, I'm a very resilient person. I need to look into Kai Lopez. K S E might be very beneficial to me right now. Thanks for sharing your vulnerability. It allowed me to open up a little about me.

I had a short spell of post natal depression years ago, when my sons were young, but thankfully have never experienced it since. I'm well known amongst friends and family for being a worrier and being stressed a lot of the time! I know the main reason is I'm in a job I don't enjoy. However, watching your videos have really helped lift my moods, particularly if I have time for one before I go to work! So many thanks to you, Liz, for sharing your life! It helps me a lot! ^_^

This video helped me see this current depressive phase I'm having with more lightness and ease. Not changed it, but created space around it which I had otherwise struggled to find by myself - so thank you v. much!

LOL I definitely go into a cleaning spree when I come out of funk. One of my life management strategies is that the kitchen gets cleaned first. If the kitchen is clean I am more likely to make healthy meals which also makes me feel better. So if the dishes are piled up, I know I am in a funk that needs to be addressed.

I can fully empathise with this video Liz as i am so up & down at the moment. Can't sleep in the night & then exhausted during the day. Older kids having problems & sharing them with me coupled with ongoing home renovation issues that feel like they'll never be completed have really brought me down this week. I hope tomorrows weigh in results in a weight loss or that will just be the icing on the cake :/ I wish i could escape to one of those Thai retreats for 2 weeks just to cleanse my body & soul. Such is life hey Liz. I hope your week & your mood improves. Lots of love xxx

Hi Liz, thanks for vid, I guess we all have 'blah' days and sometimes it's just not possible to pinpoint the actual cause but a mixture of just life. You're spot on with getting teenagers out the house, it is really stressful. I was glad when my boys both passed their tests and could drive themselves. I had a giggle about the cleaning the house, I think many women do this just to be in some control but also I say to myself 'who the hell else is gonna do it ??' I loved the book 'The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up', by Marie Kondo, it was a quick easy read and I must say it made clearing out and tidying so much easier. I would recommend it. As a sensitive soul you will go up and down with your emotions all day. You're doing a great job. Lots of love x

Liz, we live in the same kind of weather that England has....originally we are from San Diego, California, so living up here really changed my mood in an intense way. Concurrent with that I was going thru menopause, I started to take Vitamin D (10,000 units daily) and after a few weeks, my mood changed dramatically! Also there's another one called: SAM-E, although I am not sure you can get it in England without a prescription. I have found the Vitamin D did the trick! I was getting depressed, dark, teary and moody and that was not anything like my basic nature! Your symptoms sound like menopausal issues..... I'm always usually optimistic and happy. So I hope this information helps you! Interestingly, Brian Tracy used to be our neighbor in San Diego!

Hello Liz! You never disappoint in your vlogs. Always keeping it real which is something I love about you. I think you are doing everything just about possible to combat this down period. Cleaning, eating well, dying hair, exercising, etc. Let me remind you also and encourage you to give it our heavenly father. There is something so freeing about doing our part and doing our best, but also giving those feelings, concerns and worries to Jesus. I find essential oils very helpful too. :)

Hi Liz. I suffer from depression from time, to time. I had to re-locate after my marriage breakdown from London back to Scotland. And my 2 children live in Australia which doesn't help. Anyway watching your vlogs from time to time helps me to focus on positive things. Thank you. 💕👍🏻

Hello Liz, it sounds like the classic case of being bogged down with everyday life chores and responsibility, it gets to all of us- I bet you wish you were back on that amazing holiday over Christmas :) This is just a small thing (and entirely subjective) but I find sniffing a little orange or lemon/lime oil really uplifting, I even place some orange peel in the oven on a low heat for an aromatic blast! I take my hat off to you for trying to overcome these low moods by exercising and eating the 'right' foods (it's so easy to fall into the trap of comfort eating and being a couch potato). I'm quite a sentimental person but I try not to hoard too much stuff as lots of clutter just freaks me out. It's great to hold on to things for the memories but I read somewhere this can have a negative impact in that it may anchor you in the past and prevent you from moving on. That's a bit deep but just my two cents as they say (2p doesn't quite sound the same lol). I hope you don't mind me saying this but I've found speaking to a counsellor very helpful- it's surprising how much lighter you feel offloading to an objective stranger :) Sorry for the essay but just have something to ask you: I've been looking for a hair shade similar to yours with a tinge of violet in it- would you mind saying what shade and brand this is, please? Hope that doesn't sound too crass! Thank you x

+Eva G Hi Eva, yes I had a year of counselling from Feb 2014 to Feb 2015. I did think about doing back but decided I just need to keep consolidating what I learned from her. Which I'm glad to say is working. RE the hair colour - I use L'oreal Ecellence creme Natural Brown shade 5. Hope that helps. :)

Hi Liz, I'm new to your channel. I just wanted to say I too have bouts of anxiety & low mood & I think being 'Mindful" (as you mentioned) is really important. Rather than fighting it, know it's happening, let it happen, & know it won't be forever. Like yourself I find exercise helpful, as well as good sleeping habits. I also distract myself with hobbies. Thanks for sharing :)

Hello LiZ! As I was watching ur video this thing came to my mind! If u spend more time with ur husband, for example hanging out together enjoying each others company, being romantic hold his hands, dance with him feel relaxed with each others company would'nt it help? I see it from my self that when i get relaxed with my partner everything goes away! The big things become small, and I'm ready to flow in the rythme of sweet life again! When people come together and sweet with each other miracles happen! Lot's of love! Maria
