Many Many Thanks I was/am the founder, leader, guitarist and one of three vocalists in The Gentrys. I sang this song "Keep On Dancin' "when I was 17. It was a number 4 hit record in September 1965. I am still performing and singing it today. I and all The Gentrys are honored and appreciate so much, your making our hit the soundtrack for this monumental, fun video. MOST OF ALL EVERYONE FROM HOLLYWOOD TO HOME LAND KEEP ON DANCIN' !!!

yep the Cold War was a gas boomertard. Nothing like US & Soviet Union just a hair trigger away from nuclear war & total end of the planet. And just in case you missed it the Vietnam War was moar fun. And helter skelter with the Charlie Manson family as they hacked & slashed to the beat of the times. Which included anti war movement & student protest across the nation including National Guard using the student body of Kent State for target practice. Nevermid political assasinations like JFK,MlK and RFK and George Wallace. And to top it off Watergate and 'I'm not a crook' tricky Dick Nixon.

Eddie Applegate ("Richard Harrison") playing her boyfriend on the show, passed away at 81 before the end of 2016, a few months after both Patty and her tv father, William Schallert, who died 6 weeks after Patty (Mar. 29) on May 8, 2016. Jean Byron (the mom) died a few years earlier, so now Paul O'Keefe ("Ross", Patty's little brother on the show) is the sole remaining actor alive from the nucleus of that family. He is now 67 (Apr. 1951 birth).

Imagine years from now someone trying to include a current song as a background for show excerpts from "Chrisley Knows Best" and "The Bachelor". My heart goes out to younger folks who'll never know what true fun is all about.
THIS SONG FROM OCTOBER OF 1965 WAS THE MOST LOVED SONG OF ALL. PRESIDENT JOHNSON SAID IN JANUARY OF 1966 IN A COLLEGE VISIT, I LOVE THIS SONG MORE THAN ANY SONG I EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE.
LOVE This song!! It played on Sirius 60's and I cranked that radio UP!!!

I love this song. I was born in 1987 but I grew up on the oldies music from the 50s and 60s by listening to it with my mom driving in her car as a kid. Today's generation of music is terrible. This song is a great example of how amazing oldies music is.

+I Love bleach It's nostalgia; we forget that we have plenty of awful songs back in the 50's and 60's, we just don't remember any of them. And it was different back then; you could churn out and release lots of songs quickly. Today, you have to have a video to launch a song, so even the best artists only release a few song a year. I don't think you'll have a lot of people with half a dozen hits at the top of the charts like the Beatles did back then. There's still good music; just not as much of it.
