You can also put the roots in water or plant them and they'll grow more greens

I cut the ends, and I put the white part in a open bottle adding water half way, and I put it next to the window and I change the water every two days. I stop buying them. So I buy them when the roots stop making more. I buy them every other months because I’m growing the green onions in my home. However, this idea is fantastic to keep the green part last longer. Thank you Ms. Pam!
Don’t forget to cut the rooted ends and put them into a shallow glass of water to regrow a whole new batch for free :)

Her voice is lovely, just like the kind you'd imagine Grandmas to have.
I really appreciate the produce wisdom. I get so frustrated when my produce starts going bad in a day or two. Thank you Chef Pam

Great idea 💡 What I do every time that I buy green onions I put them in a cup by a window that gets some sunlight. And it keeps my green onions still growing and they are always fresh when I need them!!!! And they do grow fast even in the winter! I have a glass of green onions in my kitchen window right now lol but make sure that you change out the water every 3 days 🥰

Yes I’ve done a making cookies video with them now I need one of these lol
I've been using a jar with water thanks for that tip
That is an excellent idea! I've just been sticking mine in a jar of water! Of course now I have them sitting next to a window (the only one with sunlight)! Every few days I add more water and cut them down some. But when I think of all the ones I had to toss because they looked dead when my son bought them I wish I had known what you just said!
HER SWEET CALM CONFIDENCE VOICE IS SAVING ME MONEY !! 💰LOL ! THANK YOU
I'll say it again! I love how she talks to us 🥰🥰🥰
THE LETTUCE VIDEO IS THE ONE EVERYONE IS TAKING AND BRAGGING ABOUT IT !! BUT I CAN'T KEEP GREEN ONIONS !! BUT NOW I CAN !! THANK YOU

You can also put them in a cup with water and you'll always have fresh crisp green onions whenever you need them! You can just cut ✂️ some off but not all the way just cut to the part that looks white and then it will continue to grow back in a few days. Make sure that you change the water every 3 days.

Hi Pam how are you? You know… one of my biggest problems is keeping my vegetables fresh in the frig, you gave me the answers. God bless you!!!
Last time I bought them..I planted the bottoms and had green onions all season..well even longer since I love in Florida..pretty sure they are still growing in my garden
Thank you most precious lady ⚘
Well, I learned that spring onions are also scallions. Until now, I thought they were two different things. 😅

You are heaven sent..my grandma passed away 19 yrs ago at the young age of 64…I miss having elder cooking advice.I’m so thankful and grateful that my Grandma Rip had me in that kitchen at 9 learning to cut collard greens up from the stalk and flipping sunny side up eggs 🙏🏾I’m so blessed for those early experiences in life❤

I buy them every week. Thank you!
Thank you auntie!
You are lovely and I love your sweet voice!
I love your videos. Thank you
I dropped mine into a small ball jar and just put a tiniest bit of water in the bottom. After I'm done cutting them to the white I leave it alone and they continue to grow a new green onion from the top. Dampening certain vegetables like the green onion works great, too. Thx, Pam!
Thank you!! I toss mine weekly because I don't use them fast enough. I tend to remove a few stalks at the store, now-not anymore!
You are my favorite channel. I love all your tips.
What a lovely voice, and always such a no nonsense but gracious presentation for us who fumble in the kitchen🙂

Such inspiring ideas,, delightful voice and precious smile 😍
That's great, and I have another way- my friend's Japanese grandmother taught her- plant your green onions in your flower bed instead of putting them in the fridge, they will grow until you use them, if you for get they will just keep growing.
Miss Pam you bring me useful skills packed with the joy i needed thank you 😊
Good to know. Thanks!
Thank you for so many of your helpful topics
I do something similar and I realized my scallions were fresh. I chop them up and put a paper towel in a tupperware. Then i put the chopped scallions in the container and put another towel on top and cover it. They dont rot and last longer than a week. I wash the scallions right before using.
Her and Tabitha Brown have the best soothing voices
I did not knew about this food hack. Each day I learn new things. 👍Thank you Mrs Pam

I always put them in a little water ....like a flower in a vase. I also do this with fresh asparagus. It looks awesome in the fridge 😀 😍

Oh my, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. We buy these onions so often as they go limp & nasty. I’m ever so grateful for the tip, thanks Auntie 🙌
