Mark Keene. I’ve got a suggestion for you. Maybe you’ll build it and give me a reward, or maybe you’ll build it and not give me a reward. Or maybe you will laugh your a$$ off, but I wouldn’t until you at least try this. Take a 5 gallon bucket and attach a hose in the middle of the bucket , where the water is hitting the bottom of the bucket pretty strong... should be adjustable... as the pay is put in the bucket it starts to roll - boil ( not heat boil ). From the water pressure.. the light material will float in the water rolling out of the bucket and the heavies will swirl but continue to drop towards the bottom if the bucket... when you have no more material reduce the pressure and let it continue to wash out the dirt and lighter stuff until the water is clear. You can actually watch the gold lift and drop, Hopefully you’ll check out this idea. Hopefully you’ll build it, hopefully you’ll give me a reward.... best regards

Your idea is not crazy it has been done in the past many times. Probably one of the better machines was the Oterburge gold separator. The main difference it the water came from the bottom through a filter system that provided a smooth flow of water up. Everything was in a state of suspension so the heavies settled to the bottom and the lights blew out the top. We also did this in the Hydromatic Jig that we built back in the 1970s. I have seen dozens of products built with this concept over 4 decades.

Hi Mark, Todd Miller in Peru. You sold me a P1500 around 13 years ago. I still have it even though the government pretty much made river mining illegal here. I have a question about the pump. If I restrict the outlet can I run it with a smaller engine and still get high pressure? I have a need for a pump for drilling wells and I remember you mentioned something to me one time about cutting down the rotor or reducing the outlet.

The engine does require at least 40 hp plus. If you reduce the flow by restricting. The hp requirements will be reduced somewhat by how much we just do not have the test data to make a accurate assumption
