Bhimsen Joshiji is ultimate ,no other can replace him ,even Bharath Ratna award is small felicitation towards his contribution to music world ,as long as this world exists ,his name will cherish ,even new generation will won't forget his contribution and will be fan for ever

What a great performance! Truly, this man was something special. Also, an "earthen" quality about his style and voice that just intuitively seems to connect with the audience. Banaras gharana singers used to have this quality back in the day. Nowadays... everything is mathematical, mechanical, virtuosity oriented...

I had one opportunity and to listen to this maestro’s music in the early 90s in London in a private venue. I mesmerised ever since. I can carry on enjoining it day and night. Panditji was tremendously well versed in his art but in away he was a magician at the same time. Wish he had lived for ever. ....... Ramesh Chiplonkar, London

Panditji is Panditji. Mesmerizes the listeners. He sinks deep in the swara ocean, touches each swara perfectly connecting them with different permutations and combinations and sails through smoothly taking us in world of sangeet, through steady stream, low tide, high tide and even stormy waves. Great! This is one of his very few performances in which he has spelt saragam. Thanks to Farhan.

About BJs class nothing new to say. One comment about his modesty and simplicity. Heard him umpteen times since Fifties of past century (89). Always a cotton white kurta pajama. No embroidered colorful silk and gold jewlled buttons flashing as customery with present day classical musicians as if that enhances quality of music or is a part of Indian music. Same comment applies to Nikhil B and Ali Akbar Saab. Farhan Saab again remarkable audio quality of upload. U take particular care that uploads r for listening by rasikas and not to show I have this or that in my collection. Am grateful for that as I listen through a moderately audiophile class system. UT downloads at 128 Kbps r already lossy heavily compressed. AirPlay does improve little bit but not remove distortions. Source plays most important part in audio chain. U r excellent in that🙏

Farhan Amin - digitized is again compressed audio nowadays possible at 320 Kbps when I did in 2004-5 only 128 Kbps was available. Most important thing is he got the originals in good quality may be directly recorded. In spool type recorders. I recorded may be 150/200 stealthily hiding my cassette recorder under shawl or in a bag from audience. Quality obviously poor in most became poorer when compressed into digitised form. MP 3 format. Would say 75% of what I collected myself and other sources is now available in you tube. Some r not. Many completely new for me. As I recorded a different kedara stealthily at Modern School hall in Delhi. In Seventies. Thanks to u t for liberalizing from 2013. Comparing Apple to Apple find that what I recorded in mp3 format sounds inferior to what is downloaded by you tube if heard through AirPlay. BT is certainly much poorer. Source presumably same as collections mostly travel from one source to another to another. Used to be a kind of Hawala transaction 😂 Many thanks. Take care more so in Covid times.

Should add Amir Khan Saab and Khan sahib also dressed simply. Streaming through memories think It was Raviji who started this trend to impress western audiences quite paradoxical to his repeated statements that Indian classical music is meditative and spiritual.

Farhan Amin too old. Secondly without a computer thirdly don’t know technology of uploading. CDs will be there for someone to take care of post my final departure. Yes there r some not many which r not in you tube. I don’t care for uploads which r not listenable. No point in merely storing. That’s another factor. Like if I want to hear BJ Yaman Kalyan I shall play your upload and not the one I have in CD mp3 which has lot of distortions. Few others like Subrata D Sen Vishudmata R Asokan etc also made some decent uploads of old Maestro’s. Take this opportunity to thank them. They r good for listening whenever I want to. I have prepared an index artist wise of what could be played a second time. My own collection is fully catalogued artist wise. Have to kill time😄

I missed it somehow.. found it today.. Ab toh inka Nat sunne ki abhilasha aur bhi badh gai..

I live in Delhi. I have actually had the privilege of attending two Gaan Saraswati concerts of Kishori tai in 2016 and 2017 where you had accompanied her!
