This song doesn't remind me of anyone but myself, when I'm at my worst, when I lay down in bed for hours staring at the ceiling, when I'm in class and my heart beats so fast I can't pay attention to what the teacher is saying, when my hands are shaking so much I don't know what to do, when I'm crying so hard I can barely breath, when I'm so sad so scared so confused. It also reminds me that I'm still alive and that I have to stay alive, it's never easy but I haven't given up yet.

This song got me through when my newborn suffered a heart attack at birth and she had been fighting so hard but started to lose the battle. It was my way to process that if she needed to leave it was okay. We were blessed and she made a miraculous turn around and turns 10 this month. Now I pass this song 10 years later to my amazing step daughter, who just lost an amazing person in her life today. Sometimes songs create a space for things that would otherwise be too big to express. So grateful for this artist.

The line 'die knowing your life was my life's best part' must be one of the most beautiful, haunting and romantic things I have ever heard.

My favorite lyric, ever!

This song pulled me through a fucking bad depression and pretty much saved my life. I can now finally listen to this song without breaking down. Thanks so much Keaton, you , unknowingly, meant the world to me! Edit: if you’re dealing with depression: Don’t give up. Find people to talk to. Let go of all shame and talk. I know the pain in opening up to people, but at least try.

It's the same with my boyfriend. I grew up with him and now we have been together for a year. I know there will be no one else I can ever be with, and yet I feel as if he is going to slip through my fingers every time darkness takes over him. I find it so hard to support him and I try my best, but living with a loved one with depression is so hard. I hope your sister finds a day that makes her realise how much she is loved, and that the uncertain future is beautiful because of the chance it is full of. I hope everyone suffering with or knows someone who suffers from depression can find comfort and refuge every day. I believe in you all.

When I get low, I genuinely think of the 'just live' part and I think it's probably saved my life

What I find wonderfull about Keaton, is that he talks about death in such a lovely way, he makes you feel like it isn't such a bad thing. The other thing is that he talks about devotion, like everything he does is so thoughtful and sweet. His song are heartbreaking but also enchanting.

'In the Flesh' brought me here - Wow, I am speechless. Powerful song.

Isn't it such a bummer that they aren't continuing that series? I just now watched it and it honestly had potential to be one of my most favorite shows. And his music fit so well with the show too.

This song is so special to me. For some reason, it brings out both the worst and best of me. It connects me to the deepest, darkest, self destructive feelings, yet it also lets me silent the noise of my mind. I guess that's what art can do to you.

Honestly what i adore most about this song is that if you scroll through the comments, how a simple song can make so many people sentimental of a sort or relating / making a connection to some point in their life, such as a newfound love, a broken heart, or just even the pain of a lost one. Oh god. Just finished this week's episode of Lost Girl and this was the closing song.... Right in the feels.

When I first heard this song, I broke down in tears and couldn't stop crying. This song is so beautiful to me that I even came up with a dance to it. Even when I dance to this, I cry while because I'm so moved by the lyrics and melody. I listen to this song 3-4 times every day. It makes me think of some of my friends.

My best friend and the girl I'm in love with has an 83% chance of dying from cancer, so the line "If you must die, Die knowing your life was the best part of mine" hits me really hard

A beautifully haunting song that evokes deep emotion within the heart and soul. Certain songs/artists just seem to have that special ability to make you fall silent and deep into thought about your life, the people, and things that are truly important. It causes you to reflect on the things that really matter as well as the regrets of things that you should or shouldn't have done during the brief time spent walking this earth. This is one of those songs imo.

Wiggly Twig problems like that usually don't show till your early 20's, hit me at 22. But if you're already feeling like i feel when I have an anxiety attack I feel for you. But don't let it interfere with your relationship with her. She should be a safe place for you, a thing in your life that gives you comfort. And if she doesn't accept you and all of your baggage( because we all have some) then she's not gonna be around long. But that just speaks to her character. Someone that loves you for you is gonna help you carry those bags. Trust me kid, I'm 35 years old and every woman I came across had twice the baggage I did lol. But didn't meet the girl who would become my rock till I was 21. You got all the time in the world right now, so just live and don't worry so much. I have the same story. It's been probably a year since I've discovered this song/=Keaton Henson and it still gets me every time

Just finished watching Lost Girl. Bawling is not even good enough.Man this song hit's home. I lost my niece to cancer when she was 10. My sister (her mother), got pregnant again years later, but lost the baby in Utero. My sister took her life shortly after.

Ada thank you so much. Kind words are always welcomed. I think some families get the brunt of horror for some reason, and that is me. And kind words always help. There are some really mean sadistic people out there. But God Bless You and thank you for your kind words-they go a long way in this life..

And if you have lost someone so close to you that the fact you will never see them on this earth again suffocates you, just put the headphones right to your ear, turn the volume up and close your eyes. Listen.

This song brings out the depression in me, but not in a bad way. I use it to cleanse. The tears and the sadness take away with it the sodden disease that is depression. Much love to anyone else who suffers with this dispicable affliction. ❤️❤️❤️

It isn't the words that get to me the most, it's the emotion I feel in his voice. It's like it pierces the deep corners of my heart to the scar tissue that isn't fully healed and makes it beat irregular. Almost like anticipation and sorrow in a unusual, twisted way.

Every time I listen to this song, it gives me shivers... *perfect*

Holding back is hard. My best friend, I know there was something but her ex came with force. She's worried about of the look in my eyes and told me to part ways for a while. The thing is that I can deal with the fact she's still in his illusion. But I feel replaced given how good things were few weeks back. Now I can't sleep because I feel that I was replaced and that he took my best friend (the one who gets me the most and keeps my pace), he took her away from me. I hate him for that.

How is this musician still alive? The pain his voice radiates is heart wrenching 💔

How perfect and beautiful these lyrics are. Its message is so touching: However you grieve, whatever that looks like, it's okay. We have all lost a loved one, and this song feels like a message delivered from them directly to our hearts.

this song makes me cry every time i hear it. tears just well up in my eyes and a lump comes to my throat and its hard to breathe properly. it makes me feel all the pain and sadness ive felt over the years. but its also comforting at the same time.

WOW..........Completely lost a note I wrote to self after watching Lost Girl S4 E13 the theme song at the end of the episode. Finally found it and what a song. Keaton Henson you rock. A beautiful piece of powerful words that hit the heart. Love it :-)))

a couple nights ago i was having one of those nights, those terrible nights... i cried and begged for god or whatever to give me a sign that i should stay alive bc i couldnt stand the pain anymore. i was about to hang myself, i was so close of succeeding, and then this song randomly started playing in my phone. i stopped what i was doing the moment i heard it. this was the sign i begged for. i wasnt supposed to be here right now. sometimes life hurts so much that we think we can't stand it but we can, we just keep going, surviving. this song literally saved my life, i really hope it was worth it.

I almost can't believe how I've listened to Keaton Henson for three years now, and never saw these video's. For some reason I always stuck to the live-versions etc. But this is great quality, and I absolutely love the video. Play-backs are always the best!
