Its because the last person sits attracts more attention. So keanu supposed to sit last. They both know this but keanu forgot to sit last (which is the reason why interviewer did *the gesture*) and so keanu stands up again and let the interviewer sit and then sits himself down.

You always let someone older or superior ( in a way -- letterman being the host ) sit first at the table . When you eat with your family you wait for the elders to sit before you , or if they come and you're already sitting , you stand up to acknowledge them and give respect . And you wait for them to start first before you can eat .. thats called manners . 75% of the southeastern and central asians still do that and probably 99% of asians knows about that right conduct

Keanu goes on long hikes a lot, and he wears the same boots when he rides his bike which is often. Also, you can see from paparazzi pics that his jeans are ripped naturally from doing so much of such activities. He says he goes through a ton of jeans. He seems to keep his boots longer because the older they get the more comfortable they get.

He was so humble
