+Wonnetz Phanthavong maybe that was to symbolise his devil's advocate filming experience i.e. when at the end he realised the destruction that vanity may cause while thinking of the cases. Most actors switched to digital because horrifying directors had all the power in the film days since it was only them and the cameraman who had the final say in the release of the film but in digital actors get to see their performance first hand so keanu ruined guys like hackford and scorcese who actually tortured actors on set in the name of fiction thus he showed digital is bigger than film. Also while shooting devil's advocate he claimed on one of the last nights he had violent ringing in his ears which may have caused him to fail but he persevered. in matrix premiere, he said he was out of work after the film which depicted him refusing to sell out to satan.

He cheated on the devil by refusing to sell out thus he stopped getting serious studio offers from hollywood.

The guy was less than a month shy of 50 and he seriously looks like he is in his 30s. Incredible. That is why i fell in love with him especially in John wick. The man looks my age! I mean i totally understand these crazy bitches being all up on him and trying to seduce him dont get me wrong who wouldnt??? the man is gorgeous but how do you go from the absolute best fucking movie ever made badass John wick to whatever the fuck this was?? I am left so perplexed with this movie. People say keanu reeves is a bad actor. I never thought so I really like him as an actor. Hes one of my top favorites and the most beautiful man to walk this earth and to look at. Yeah he tends to be monotonous in his delivery and stoic overall but there is an endearing quality to him and he has a cool badass factor especially in his stare and I love most of his movies save a few that are just a bit on the boring side but man this piece of crap is something else. I dont know what to think. Is it the script dialogue that is so shitty that it highlighted his weaknesses or was this intentional on his part to play this part just over the top crazy campy to the point where you are essentially laughing at how utterly absurd and ridiculous the whole thing is as opposed to being scared. I dont know. We are so used to seeing keanu play badass motherfuckers Neo, Johnny Utah, John Wick, Jack Traven, Street Kings, Man of Tai Chi yet in this hunk of junk hes a completely helpless wimp and for whatever reason you BELIEVE him that he is that much of a wimp. He totally comes off as a wimp and totally understand why the girls arent afraid of him or laugh at him. Fuck I was laughing at him. What the hell??? Is that a testament of his acting ability where he can go from playing and being totally believable in action hero roles or John Wick the most bad ass kickass motherfucker assassin ever created who headshots with no mercy 300 people to a complete wuss with no backbone who stumbles and falls all over the place and gets tortured with a fork and headphones and buried and completely overpowered by 2 small girls. I dont know. Plus Im sorry but he looks dumb. Dumber than ted ever looked in bill and ted. There is a scene where the girls tell him about how they are actually minors and the look on his face omg seriously he looks dumb with the girls laughing at him..as they should be. Omg I am so mad at this movie. Forget knock knock they should have renamed this movie either John Weak or Young, Dumb and Full of Cum would have been more appropriate And i just rewatched speed and the last thing you would think of about jack traven is being dumb. You see the wheels spinning problem solving in his eyes the whole time. yet here its like crickets in there... empty brain space. And one more thing the art is ugly as sin in this movie. That ugly ass papier mache monstrosity in the backyard is so fucking ugly and what is up with the weird phallic looking small sculptures inside the home. they are all over the fucking place. this after john wick where beautiful contemporary art meets action. wft His wife doesnt come across as an artist who would have a weird creepy fascination with penises, she doesnt even want john wicks wick. oh and then they take his fucking dog at the end. Man this movie has no redeeming quality. I was like...he needs to do like john wick and have the fury unleash the john wick in him and rise out of that dirt and go after these bitches john wick style. But then you are like hold on how was he able to free his hand out of the dirt at the end to press on the phone?? wasnt he tied up with a hose when they put him in the hole?? details i guess. kinda like how not once at any point when he was free did he think to get that gun in that vase to defend himself. after how amazing and well thought out john wick is i cant believe he was actually a producer on this turd. I get he wants to play different types of characters and he can be totally believable in comedic roles like ted theodore logan and he plays gentle romantic roles very well as well but this one sucked and im sorry as much as you hate those girls and wish ill on them you have no respect for keanus character in this. Sure hes a nice guy but man grow some fucking balls no sympathy. As gorgeous as he is had I been the wife coming home and seeing what a complete wuss i am married to I would have left his ass. rant over. lol

True. There are some movies that were clearly beneath Keanu, but he for some reason did them. Some of them, I think he respected the directors (and who they were associated with) too much and couldn't say no. Keanu needed to say NO more. His time was precious to do crappy movies, and then he also had to spend time promoting them.

Really get's a bad rap! Seems a lot smarter then he appears! Also, He was not a dream in the mirror, I'm intrigued! Teaser seemed very Funny Games like!

I know this is probably not unusual, but I remember a 1970s B movie with this exact premise except the couple didn't have a kid. A married couple with a good sex life (they stressed that in first 15 min of the movie). Wife leaves for the weekend then two hot young females murderous females knock on the husbands door. The seduce him then torment him. Real softcore stuff. Unfortunately there were no mainstream actors in this 70's flick and I can't recall the name.

Go out and find a man of your own and stop making a spectacle of yourself. This behavior will not endear you to him. It'll just make him keep his distance all the more. So glad he enjoyed the experience of making the film. Sadly, it was much more than anyone who's seen it has been able to share. It's a dreadful film and a horrible script.
