When you hear stories bout how everyone was doing drugs mostly “coke”back in those.they weren’t joking.if you walked up to some friends and been offered a line and refused or passed on you were singled out.it’s a miracle any of these artists lived to tell their stories

KC is a national treasure.

His horn section SLAYED back in the day.

I was a teenager in the 70s loved K.C. and the sunshine band he music helped me thru some dark times in my life Thanks K.C.!

Born in 67, grew up in the 70’s: I recall KC and all of the Sunshine Band as an act that was unparalleled. No one put on a performance like this group.

I liked them as a little kid, then hated them as a young adult, and like them again as an adult. Nothing wrong with disco, and nothing wrong with upbeat music.

Although i bought all of KCSB's music as a kid, I can't say that "no one" put on a performance like them. I guess you never saw Earth Wind and Fire in concert during that same period. EWF had thee absolute best visual shows in the world at that time. No one could top EWF's visuals and there live sounds that were just like their recordings. They were amazing.

I saw them in 1999 I think it was. AWESOME show! People never sat down the entire time.

I adore KC and The Sunshine Band!! Grew up on their music and I'm 55 now and when I hear one of their songs on the radio, I still crank it up and butt boogie in my seat!!!

How I miss those days 😩 Dam it I’m going back to 70’s & 80’s in a blink... I’ll be right back.!

Kc a massive influence in the music of the 70s .

I was in 6th grade when this song first hit and I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

I saw KC in concert. One of the best I've ever seen. Fun!

Gotta love KC. Every song he sings is about blanking. Saw him a few times in 2003 & got to meet him. Nice man.

This song reminds me of going to the skating rink. I am so glad I was a kid in the 70-80's.

Good lord, I saw KC & the Sunshine Band perform in front of the castle at Walt Disney World on New Years Eve sometime around '76 or so. I was never a big disco fan but I am glad to have seen that back then. You gotta admit... he knew how to write a hooky song.

I’m an American and I agree that KC was underrated here. The problem is that the music industry is always so big and so varied here and the most popular performers and singles tend to get treated like their level of commercialism somehow doesn’t mean there wasn’t real talent possessed.

I saw him & the SSBand at Disney World at the height of his fame. I was standing about 8 ft from the stage. It was electrifying! There is nothing like live music & KC had a hot bod to boot! Such good times.

KC is a musical genius! I always thought he is a great talent! As far as any negative comments that are posted here, ask yourself this question: If you don't like KC, why did you even watch this video.......or even come to this video to begin with?? Oh my oh my i do so love Kc and the sunshine Band.

I don't recall the month, but in 1994, I was with a friend who was a drummer in a small-time metal band. We used to tease each other about a variety of things. We'd just flown from Nashville to LAX. Walked out onto the sidewalk to wait for the shuttle to take us to the Hertz car rental site. Someone walked up almost right beside me and I looked over briefly and it was K.C. (Casey). I turned to my friend and told him this was his big chance and if he wants I'll introduce ourselves and get him set up with an audition. It was funny, but it was actually K.C. and a group of people with him. I guess his band at the time.

Looks like Harry got married (he was 61 in this video)! YAYYY for him - I hope he has a happy rest of his life, and may God continue to bless him!!! Anyone know who Harry was married to at this point in his life?! I thought I read that his wife unfortunately died of cancer, but he may have remarried. It's unfortunate that he never had any children (that we know of) to pass on his amazing talents to. I also read that he's been married to the same woman for the past 40 years, in a recent video, he says he's single....so it's hard to know what the truth is.

I believe you would have to look i to TSOP The Sound of Philly that did the music for early Soultrain 72-73. It wasn't called Disco but it had that sound that made it Disco sound tssss, tssss, tssss early R and B. Nile Rogers is another good refference.

DigNap15 Barry White and Van McCoy started disco. KC was on the vanguard of white bands playing disco. KC has the most natural feel for the groove though (check out Rock Your Baby)
