Russia possibly had much more critical strategic geo-political security info on the events in Kazakhstan than the general media is likely to know....the rather "lukewarm reaction" emanating thus far (apart from the annoying and undiplomatic statement by the US Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs) is indeed an interesting pointer!!..... normally with such events involving the deployment of Russian military assets the decibel level of noise from the West would be deafening.... Kazakhstan's geographical location spot on at the centre core of the Asian would be of great geopolitical significance to the US and her Allies....it affords a vantage access point directly to the under -belly of both Russia and China...( China is Russia's unmentioned ally in the room in the unfolding drama) ....and of course there are also significant natural resources.....All said it is almost certain that Russia did read some element of mischief in the Kazakhstan crisis..... from a geopolitical angle it was not merely a citizens' outcry for the increase in the cost of fuel..... This was hijacked by something more complex which was now fueling the drama!!!
