The video combines an Oscar Winning Animated Short Film 'Father And Daughter' made by Michael Dudok de Wit and Dimash Kudaibergen's singing of 'Qaragym Ai', also a song about a father & a daughter.
Roisin Cherie watched the short film and imagined the father's thoughts about the daughter if he had been around to watch her grow up from a sweet young girl to a lovely young woman with a family. The perfect words can be found in the song 'Qaragym Ai'
A very beautiful song 'Qaragim Ay' (composed by Kenes Duisekeev and Shomisbai Sariev) is about a father's love for his daughter, sung at her wedding day.
However there is a story behind this song. The composer Kenes Duisekeev was thinking of his late father and how proud he would have been of Gulshat his daughter (the composer's sister) if only she had lived. She passed away at the age of 19 when the composer was still a boy of 7. Kenes wanted to write a tribute song to his sister and this was how Qaragim Ai came to be.
To sing this song, Dimash asked permission but the composer was doubtful he could convey the emotions of a father. They agreed to let Dimash sing in rehearsals before making a decision. Kenes was amazed at how Dimash was able to understand the true meaning of the song and hugged him after rehearsal. And now we are blessed to see Dimash's performance of such a beautiful melody ( • "Karagym-ai" Dimash Ku... )
Kenes Duisekeev passed away on the 9th of July 2020.

Dimash always has so much emotion when he sings but i can see that this is dimashes comfort zone singing in his own language shows the more true spirit of dimashes voice and the beautiful sound of the song is so natural and beautiful and perfect

Как может молодой человек передать в песне всю любовь, все переживания, всю боль за своего ребёнка?! Это настолько надо быть любящим, чтобы передать все чувства, все эмоции... Димаш, у меня просто бесит в груди, сына я потеряла и сейчас одна единственная дочь, за которую душа болит....

Димаш говорит, что ему не обязательна лирика. Он читает ее через музыку. Пропуская музыку через сердце и мозг, он создаёт шедевры. Звучит просто и понятно. Но не понятно как можно извлекать из себя такие глубокие чувства не зная их. Этим он и гениален!♥️
