Kayaking Georgia | Lake Chatuge | Hiked Bell Mountain in 4K!

Kayaking on Lake Chatuge is a great way to experience the beauty of the North Georgia mountains. With its crystal-clear water and stunning views, Lake Chatuge in Hiwassee, GA is a must see paddle destination for anyone visiting the area. There are plenty of outfitters in the area who can help you get set up with everything you need for a fun day on the lake. So grab your kayak, come along, and explore some of the most beautiful scenery in North Georgia!
We began this trip with packing our camping trailer to embark on our second weekend kayak adventure that included our "Glamping" setup! The drive up from Atlanta wasn't too bad at roughly two hours. We left after work on a Friday so we grabbed dinner en-route and setup our camp with headlamps and lanterns but since it's our second time using the tents and glamping gear we felt pretty accomplished!
For day one we took a drive and hiked up a short trek to the peak of Bell Mountain in Hiwassee, GA. The views were absolutely beautiful, met some nice folks up there, and enjoyed the aerial views with our DJi Mavik Drone. Afterwards we decided to stop into North Georgia's "Mile Long Yard sale' which was quite the experience but with kayaking in mind we didn't stay too long. We spent our evening kayaking our side of the lake (on the right of the bridge), did some fishing, and enjoyed the sunset. Camp fire and s'mores followed!
On day two we decided to take a late Sunday drive home to enjoy the area as long as possible. We made breakfast, relaxed in hammocks for awhile, and took off on a longer paddle under the bridge and out into the other side of Lake Chatuge! We found a fun little island with a nice beach spot, spent some time fishing and wading in the water, and paddled back into camp. We enjoyed the evening before packing up and heading home! It was a beautiful weekend, the mountains surrounding Lake Chatuge were amazing, and we really enjoyed the lake.

Dude. Your videos are awesome. I live in Nashville but escape to this general area as frequently as I can. I didn't know about Bell Mountain! These are great! Thanks. ✌

Beautiful drone footage! Too bad that the people that visit destroy the natural beauty with Graffiti. What kind of drone are you using to film? Now following 153!

Thank you! I am using a Mavik Air 2 with extra batteries. I am hoping to add an fpv drone next to get the more high speed, fun shots!

@@RoadLessTrekked Awesome! I have the mini, but can't take it with me in the national / state parks so I end up just filming with the GoPro. There is a ton of places to hike and explore on my channel that might interest you. Would love to hear your feedback. Where is the next adventure?
