Given that many of the park's main attractions are from the water, a kayak tour of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is the top thing to do, in our opinion. In addition to kayaking into sea caves and seeing the actual "Pictured Rocks," there's many huge payoffs, including a giant arch called the Lover's Leap.
This video is part of our epic road trip to all 5 US Great Lakes (Ontario, Erie, Huron, Superior & Michigan) where we visited Niagara Falls in New York, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pictured Rocks and Apostle Islands National Lakeshores, Mackinac Island, the Porcupine Mountains ("Porkies" as they say in da UP), the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio, the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, the Lakeshore bike trail in Chicago, Frankenmuth the year-round Christmas city - are you tired yet? Oh and we ate a lot of pasties and fudge. Like a lot of fudge. So much fudge that we actually take no offense to the Yoopers and Trolls calling us Fudgies. We've been called much worse.
