As for cloth tape, it's hockey stick tape. Works great for lots of stuff that will be around water.

I had no cloth tape laying around the house so I used some of the wife's bobby hair pins. Worked like a charm and keeps the straps tight.

You have some great content. I just used my stimulus check to pick up a Cuda HD. Do you, or any one you can think of, have a video on installing a rudder system on that boat? As I understand it, they no longer make that model. Mine is brand new and was hanging on the wall of a local mountain sports shop. Got a massive discount and am happy to have it.

Sorry, not that I know of. But, since I do not have that type of kayak, I would not have looked.

Great idea, if you find the adhesive isn’t last, try putting safety pins through both layers parallel to the buckle bars. Or a quick bar stitch...

I have done the same thing for years but used duct tape cut to the same size. I like the cloth tape idea better so then it color matches better. Sporting goods stores sell different colored cloth tape

Did the duct tape stay attached? I wondered if moisture and heat would make it come off

I've been using velcro cable ties... But I might switch. Question : Do you think the tape will leave a residue on the straps after time?

@@KayakhacksFishing yeah, I think I'll stick to my velcro straps. I use the ones with a hole at one end that you get for computer cables. Thanks! Manny Z
