I swapped the control "string" over and replaced it with 80 pounds, plastic covered, stainless steel fishing leader. It works great and less friction. All that I had to do was crimp the end's rather than tying knots..... Word of advice to anyone thinking about deploying the rudder while out on the water DON'T.... I ended up in the drink. These days I deploy it 3/4 of the way before I head out. I also spray SILICONE down the tubes that my control ropes run in. I hope this helps someone out there.

I've just fitted the same mod to my NG10 Pro, and it is so smooth to deploy the rudder now. Thanks for the tip Les.

Thanks mate instructions helped out a heap shop mucked up all fixings on kayak and being my first one your video helped.

Great video mate, the guy at the kayak shop told me that the washer goes on the bottom of the rudder from the top side, so washer first than place rudder than pin underneath. Just thought I’d mention it. Like the instructional videos very helpful

Haha love it mate, think they are down to $599 at the moment. I bought mine when it was $799 and still would pay full price for it, it's an amazing kayak, going to do a review on my brother in laws kayak 2 fish osprey kayak next week, so keep tune for that coming up for a slightly cheaper option. I still love mine more though.

Got myself the NEXTGEN 9 Fishing Kayak, I did watch someone else thread the lines through, he didn't really show how to thread the peddle strings as much, maybe you could show how to thread all the lines and how to retrieve them, cheers for your vids, a happy Kayaker. :)

Hey there mate, the kayak should have tubes were the peddle strings go inside the kayak so you should be able to just thread it though and should pop out the other side, or do you mean how to tie it off?

Outdoor & Fishing Living Mission lol yep mate had a good look at it yesterday, felt inside as I was going to add some stuff to it, making sure I didn't cut any thing inside, and threaded some fishing line through it and realised that it was a tube, lol cheers bud for your reply, chat soon.

Nice. Where did you get the rudder from?

you have not shown where the pedals are set as I have them and they are on a metal spring so where is the position they are set as I think you use the toes to push on the top part to make the rudder turn
