It's probably just my ignorance and inexperience with kayak fishing and sea fishing in general but it just gives me shivers thinking about the blood going in the water and then dangling your feet over the edge.

I bought a used boat. The engine had issues within a year and cost over a thousand to repair. I sold it and bought a fishing kayak. I go out to the glades every weekend and catch snook, trout, redfish, flounder etc.... so much happier kayak fishing

That truly was a great day. Super video too. You really got er done. I have never been that lucky fishing. You should add a video part at the end on the set up of your rig and the technique you were using. Then you would have the pros beat. Great job.

Nice delivery like always, very entertaining! What happened with Dania ... were you to try better grounds! :) Man I gain my breath when you put that knife down! That's a no....no! It was so close to the line ... and everything! One thing you can do...besides having a longer gaff and attached with a lanyard: is back off your drag and set the rod on the holder with the tip close to you... make the the fish come with your hands!

Hey man love your vids Im about to move down to pompano beach in a few weeks already have all the gear so I wanna try this out just had a few questions....can I just go out that far and fish with jigs and live bait and hook up or is there more to it? How do you paddle back in and make it to your car after you drifted and not end up 25miles or more down the beach? And lastly do you know about the ocean kayak scrambler and how would it work is these situations? Thanks for the help and keep on fishing!!

Hi, Tks for your comments, You can do bottom fishing too…… the only thing I do is jigging and live bait. I don't let my self drift that far never….. If I see the current is too strong I don't fish for a long time, I Always try to keep myself straight to my starting point, usually on a good calm day current is not bad, only one thing I don't like fishing in pompano is the boat traffic is bad…. got to be careful.. The ocean kayak scrambler one of my friends had one of those and I think it does the job… The trident series are good for offshore…. hope this help..

your videos are the reason I bought a kayak. I'm wondering though what kind of gps/depth finder do you use? I'm thinking about drifting from palm beach inlet to juno pier but I don't have anyone to go with and don't want to die. how long have you been fishing offshore? do you ever go alone? my plans are to have a gps/depth finder and a vhf radio in the boat with me. is there any equipment i could also get to make the trip any easier? thanks again man keep posting

+Miles Harrelson … If you are going to be heading offshore, just take the necessary , at least the first few trips so you can feel comfortable with yourself. PDF, VHF highly recommended.

Getting crazy though on what type of gear to pack and the most suitable kayak to choose. Having difficulty as well locating local kayak dealer here with the correct kayak supplies. Look into a Hawaiian spear gaff... I fished in out of a kayak in Hawaii and watched my buddy use one on a few fish. You will have a much longer reach.

Hey man I love about 3 hours from pompano and j love to kayak fish I do a lot of inshore kayak fishing for reds snook etc but me and my friends have been wanting to try some pelagics fusing like this I love your videos and would love to try it here. I would hate to go all the way over to pompano and not know what to do tho so if you could give me some tips like where to go out there which direction to head etc that would be fantastic

+Aruba Bob ..Tks for your comments, I'm not too familiar with the fishery in aruba but I believe you can catch your live bait and then use it for big game fish. Live bait always work better then anything else, mahi's and sailfish always attack on top, wahoo more like mid water, How deep you usually fish?

Well due to the wind here I have not ventured to deep yet, I have mainly been bottom fishing at around 100-150 with squid and dead bait. I am hoping to go out the the shelf that goes from 100 - 600 pretty quickly. I would like to fish mainly for tuna as its my favorite to eat. Any dive is greatly appreciated. Is Jigging good for Tuna?

***** That's a great depth, if you are in tuna zone jigging is very effective for tunas, use 150g to 200g jigs, also live bait works good

That's why we have uber on our phones, lol…… sometimes it happens, just make sure that you are with somebody else.. Check out one of my videos when I did a drift from Dania to Commercial
