4:40 is actually a huge skill to have this early in your journey. You'd be surprised how many people, even in immortal, lack the restraint to not over-extend or go for 1v1s when your team is in the advantageous position. The better you get at recognising when you can just back up and play with your team, the better a player you'll be

the "no i dont have to" at 4:45 against the clove is really good. you dont see that type of awareness and strategy from iron players often. your team had man advantage and im willing to bet any other iron player wouldve tried to swing for that kill and possibly jeopardized the team's advantage. great job gabe!

I just want to say, you've very quickly become my favorite valorant content creator. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I really loved the moment in the split game where you backed off from taking the 1v1 and went to play with your teammate, and said you "didn't have to" do that. I think it shows good game sense - it's really advantageous to play with your teammates when you are up numbers so that you can trade and play off of each other, and the skill of knowing when not to fight when it puts you at a disadvantage is super useful.

i think it's very refreshing and satisfying to see you quickly apply what you've learnt or talk about in previous episodes, it's surprisingly difficult to constantly be aware of new habits and skills you have to practise in actual matches. Keep it up, Gabe!! 🥺 These videos are such a delight to watch ❤

This is awesome, I've been keeping up with the series. I think you're about where I am skill wise, maybe at this point in your coaching better. One thing I notice is your coms are very positive and I've seen that lift the mood on your team, your teammates become more talkative and fun, and you end up winning the game. That is my favorite part, I feel like you're making people's day when you play on their team. I also love playing KAY/O, you are a legend Gabe!

  • @ItsaMeJeff
    @ItsaMeJeff3 ай бұрын

Mate watching your vids are awesome, you have such a wholesome character its really refreshing. For one its awesome watching that breeze game and seeing you incorporate all of the things you learnt off the high elo kayo main. Although it does seem you've become extremely reliant on the right click flashes, remember that the left click flashes last much longer when it hits someone. If I can give any advice it'd be to watch your map, there was a moment on split where your raze ran up A main and you held back watching where she was running, but if you watch your map you know 80% of the area you'd be visible from is cleared, there could obviously be an off timing swing but you need to react fast to the map information your teammates give you, so pushing with her to trade in that situation is best. Also, you're playing initiator, you're getting better and better at using your utility for yourself, but in my opinion, the best initiators are initiators who tell their duelists what to do, how to do it and when to do it. "Hey jett I have blind for shop on breeze, I'm going to throw it off barrier hide and peek off of it at 1:40, try and get 1 and get out, or stay for 2 and die", stuff like that nets you a 1 player advantage more often than not.

It’s super impressive how quickly you’re improving! You’ve definitely gotten better at bursting, but it can be good to be able to shoot 2 bullets in one click then stop. A great way to practice is to just try it out, and try to get a feel for it for 2-3 minutes in the range at the start of a session. I think it’s a good skill to practice to lead into other skills. Incredible work! I’m loving the series!

Love the videos man ! Seriously this series is one of my favourite on KZread rn , tip for you: when tap firing with the vandal try slowing down the amount of shots your taking , your spam clicking (tapping) before letting have the chance to reset so it makes the recoil super hard to control. 2nd try to learn spray control if your gonna use a phantom as the weapon is not nessacarily l meant to be tap fired in the same way as the vandal, keep up the great work man can’t wait to see more of the series and you rank up

Your aim and mechanics have gotten so much better! You're looking really good in the matches! The only issue is the movement inaccuracy. I've noticed that when you go to fire your first bullet, you still have movement inaccuracy (it's a real pain to deal with, but if your first bullets are inaccurate, you need to reset and just focus on movement before trying to shoot again) This concept is essentially an extension of "calm aiming" where you're not only patient with your aiming, but with your actual shooting as well. This will take time to apply in every facet of the game. Every individual progresses at their own pace and in their own way, but if you keep trying, you'll succeed! That's my experience, at least. Good luck on the grind!

YEAAHH glad to see these good vibes on val ranked! one thing I learned from playing lower elo is that people like to swing/strafe WIDE when they're peeking, so I think we don't have to hold them in a very narrow angle, especially if we know it was a 1v1, we can hold it a little wider and just playing with a little crosshair adjustment or a little step to the left/right before we shoot them back, that usually works as long as we aim calmly. Anyways keep grinding we love the content!

loving series, came after your coaching with banana man. I hope you are loving this grind, I think it is best when low elo because you got to learn so much. Random points that came to me while watching: prefire is usually when you peek common angle and shoot proactively rather than reactively, dragging crosshair down is common when spraying, but I like you are working on your bursts cause in low elo people tend to crouch spray so your not getting the technique immediately was actually good thing. Also dayum at 19:52 future radiant gamesense kicking in. Just for information sake, there are common plant spots that give advantage in postplant. Best examples are on split B, you can either plant behind box (known as default) and where that harbor was trying to plant inside his comb when they caught you off guard (13:54). First is safe but makes postplant harder because you can't play main and spot if enemy is diffusing (+if your teammate is late lurking mid, they can't stop defuse), second one is risky especially if heaven isn't smoked off, but if you get to plant there, your team isn't restricted in where they need to play. For the same reason, people sometimes plant in the open on split A, they can just wait in ramp, let defenders pass and then peek from heaven to kill defuser. This is the reason there are calls like "planting for main" or "planting open". Just random information you can consider when either planting or expecting enemy to play. Can't wait to see you hitting gold, also your ping is criminally low

Hey Gabe! Loving this series! Also, I've got a tip for you: Considering your rank, remember to take time with your shots. I've noticed you panic a lot when stuff is happenning at the same time and honestly, I did too when i started playing, but change your playstyle and aim to be more accurate rather than fast, so that when you play more, you will eventually become faster while being accurate already. So just play the range, take enough time to aim properly instead of trying to flick, and i think you'll improve much more

Love to see the progress you are making everyday, hence I'd love to see this serie and you grow as well. As a hardstuck silver 3 Valorant player, I would highly recommend you to use your mic regularly to inform the enemy's position, how many hp did you do to the opponent, your available ultils, the ultils that you are going to use, etc... I know that silver 3 is somewhat not trustable but I found that high rank players use mic a lot so you can trust me on that.

Lots of people use their personal skill level in Valorant as a way to promote their content. The strategy is the same, but there's something special about your take on that. Instead of "Top 0.1% lobbies!! " you're going about this your own way. I'll admit - I clicked on your first video because of "KAYO voice actor" in the title, but I came back to watch more because it was a great time. Keep up the awesome work. athing about kayos flash is that the underhand toss flash is much slower when it flashes compared to the overhand, so while it might work in low elo, it tends to be less consistant silver- gold. Also currently kayo has the lowest winrate solo queue, due to his kit focusing on teamwork. you still find great ways to support your team! great vid! great work!

Though you might not see this im super impressed with your util usage and game awareness, its refreshing to see to be honest!! Though i think one thing that will help you improve super fast would be your crosshair placement! I learned mostly through playing one or two deathmatch games before comp to really help improve my aim and ultimately my movement too! Totally recommend! You can also do some aim training in the range with strafing bots too! Just make sure you dont do it too often a day just so that you dont get frustrated, keep it light and fun! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Hey dude! Love your content and I’m here for every episode! One quick tip! You have AMAZING flashes, just make sure you call some of them because they are out in the open here and there. Other than that, I can definitely see your climb to gold! Keep up the good work bro. 😎🔥

8:56 just remember 60% of the games are in your hands 20% you will win either way and 20% you will loose no matter how good you play and this match was on of the 20% you loose but keep your head up and gg go next and stay positive and carry this positivity to your team because we all are human and sometimes when we're down in the trenches and our mental is not in a good state having somebody believe in us can be really energizing and also why shouldnt you treat people like what they are people yeah some are assholes but they are still people (hmm i think I went a bit offtrack with this rant) but in short be nice to people even if they arent to you and treat them nice because sometimes we forget there are other people behind the screen Love your vids Gabe keep going strong you will Gold in no time ~Matrix avid Kayo player

Hey Gabe, just something I thought of while watching the video, when you are thinking "Im about to take a fight" you must also think "How do I put this fight im about to take in my favour as much as possible". Its turning that 50/50 into a 60/40 or even a 90/10. You can do this by using your flashes whenever you think your about to fight or maybe jumpspot. Obviously only jumpspot if your location is already compromised or you simply don't care if they know where you are, but if they know where you are but you arent 100% where they are. A jumpspot can turn your disadvantages fights from a 30/70 back to a 50/50. Jumpspotting is really easy, dapr has a very good guide on yt. Hope this helps! edit: I see you are flashing but try to die or win the round with as little utility as possible

I love watching these because of your attitude in the games. You're so charismatic that it keeps me hooked!! I hope you don't mind sharing a very minor but important thing that helped me. Using abilities. Try not to press ability keys when you're in the open! Always be near cover so that if the enemy peeks you while u have ur knife or flash out, u can at least immediately try to jump behind a wall or heck, even counter their peek by popping a flash and peeking!

@gabe Try turning off the show bodies, it makes it declutter your view IMO allowing more focus on the actual enemies to some extent :)

Great job today Gabe! Just wanna tell ya the mental advice that helped me climb up to Diamond. Always remember that if you want a rank higher than you are, you have to act like the rank you want to have. If you want to leave Iron, you have to act like a Bronze. If you wanna leave Bronze, you have to act like a Silver. You're already showing signs of Bronze to me, as you're getting more and more comfortable with gunfights on your own, keep it up brother!! :D
