Kawhi doesn't have that "star" or celebrity quality, so he doesn't get the attention that other players can't live without. But in my opinion, he's the greatest NBA player today...offensively and defensively. He's so focused and consistent. He can make the most impressive offensive play, then run down the other end of the court to give 100% on defense. He lets his game do all the talking. I can't say that about very many players today.

I agree but honestly he's super respected by those in the NBA because he's usually listed as a top three player in the game. His quiet demeanor and spirit kind of takes away from the superstardom but I think some of us actually like that a little bit.

Fact of the matter is that he is already the best player in the world, the world is just naive and gets caught in the regular season hype as is expected because of how exciting basketball is. Come playoff time, mark my words, Kawhi Leonard is coming for that 3rd chip to make him the first ever to win Finals MVP with 3 different teams.

Kawhi pre injury looks much faster and explosive, post injury although he’s slower, he’s stronger and more polished. I hope this lockdown gives us a mix of pre and post injury kawhi next season.

If you have to overrate Kawhi and give him the highest praise, then he is like a healthier version of Wizard Jordan with less strength, less killer mentality and lower IQ. However, he's saved by load management. It's not good to compare the load managed softy to the GOAT, the real killer. Let's not be dumb like James Bong.

Kawhi is my favorite player and has been since Duncan retired (a Clippers fan by default). In the 1st minute of this video though, the call by Sean Elliot is so great and got me pumped up for this video more than anything! I live in Milwaukee WI (my whole life, 50+ years). I was a huge Duncan fan when he was at Wake Forest (my facorite basketball player on the planet since 1995). I always liked Admiral (even though he always disappointed me in playoffs), Elliott, and Rodman. When the Spurs drafted Duncan, that was my team. Anyways, Elliot is one of the best home TV play by play guys over the past decade!!! I started to order NBA league pass in 1999, and when Sean became play by play in 2012, I was so happy! He even won an Emmy for his play by play in the bubble! I can't tell you how much I like that call at the 1:00 mark of video! During the replay, after blocking Hardens layup to secure the win (after Kawhi hit the 3pt shot to go up 2)..."That ball was DESTROYED off the glass!"...I love it!
