The result of romanticising sadness for too long: being uncomfortable with happiness

Yes but also... people kind of hate happy people, they resent it sometimes because they tell themselves it can't be theirs, that happiness is finite and you having some means someone else doesn't, or worse yet; that it was taken away from someone... I mean this isn't really how happiness works at all but it doesn't matter because people tell themselves it is and live their lives resenting those who break free from their own prisons...
If you want me in your life Put me there I should not have to fight for a spot

@@BA-mf4gi my school has an event for the “voice of the hour” and he had a signing I went up and he asked “are you a writer” and I told him to look at page 20 and he read my work and asked “are you a hugger” and he hugged me. He signed my book too 🥺I send good vibes anyone who loves his words as much as I to meet such a gentle soul.🤍🖤
This brought back emotions built up..🖤
I get romanticising sadness isn't good, but people kind of hate happy people. We resent it sometimes because we tell ourselves it can't be ours, that happiness is finite and you having some means someone else doesn't, or worse yet; that it was taken away from someone... I mean this isn't really how happiness works at all but it doesn't matter because people tell themselves it is and live their lives resenting those who break free from their own prisons... Speaking as someone who loves cake and eating it... But hey, my family is toxic and full of narcissists and most of my friends have c-ptsd xD
Had the honor of taking a poetry course with Kaveh at Purdue, an amazing and inspiring man!
