Say what you want...but this song is one of the most well written pop songs of the generation. Considering it is mainstream music, it is still a lot meaningful and universally relatable being so simple and perfect.

Sam yeah music is about how it makes u feel. No one should ever tell you otherwise. Fucking pretentious middle school/high school kids saying whatever they need to feel cool. WhT music you like is what emotions a song or band makes u feel . The energy, sadness, euphoria, the butteflies in the stomach, the fantasy dreamland where your saving the princess. These are what we, in ourselves , look for in music imo. If a song can evoke these emotions. That is all that matters. There no shame

a lot of ppl say Katy can't sing and let's be honest she's not the best singer but what she lacks in vocals she makes up for in being a great song writer and also creating her image and just being a good person all around and that's what's made her the most successful female pop singer and I personally love her voice it's different 10 years of Katy

What part of us is not still in touch with that "teenager part" of ourselves? We can access this in a split second... and stay YOUNG FOREVER... This song is very powerful - one of my favorites! There's still a part of us that has that TEENAGE SPIRIT - no matter how old in chronological numbers we may be. I love this song- It's so important to find someone who can transcend time with you - as if you are forever a teenager! Yes - you can grow up - but you need to access that part of you that is still a teenager.

Lolol the newest episode of South Park just dropped today and she might have actually predicted it in her misspelling because on the show there were literal "Memberberries" that would talk about nostalgic things from the past lol.
