What a class act, wow, how she says “we” and how she thanks Ellie Greenwood,, etc, etc. How someone is so nice but can go so deep for that pain cave is unreal.

Second-placed female entry number for next year

Since she was the second female, she gets an automatic entry into next year's race if she wants it. People try for years & years to enter this race. For "regular" people, it's a lottery where if they are not chosen one year, then if they sign up the next year, they double their lottery tickets. Lucy Bartholomew's dad, Ash (who came in just after 30 hours so unfortunately it is a "DNF"?!) reportedly tried for TEN YEARS to get into the race and he finally got in this most recent race

Always amazes me how the Americans think Dauwalter is pronounced.
