When Paranormal Activity came out back in 2007 Katie had no idea it would become as globally successful as it did. With just a $15,000 budget, Paranormal Activity ended up grossing almost $2,000,000.
She talks about what it was like to suddenly become so well-known and how using her real name in the film had some unplanned consequences.
She explains to me how they filmed the movie, how much of it was improvised and how much was scripted.

Thanks for sharing this! I watched Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, last night, and there's a part in there that shows what happens off-camera in the first one - the scene leading up to Micah's death. It was awesome to see original Katie, four movies later.
That's nice of her to give her time to a small Channel like this.

I SO AGREE WITH THAT
Great interview ! Her and Micah where amazing in paranormal activity. The reason people record paranormal activity or try to rather , is to see if they can really capture it . Also, if you tell someone you had a experience with a ghost , there is a chance they won't believe you . It is really not that difficult to wrap you're head around that .

This comment is really funny, because when I watched this with my wife, she actually thought it was a real account, so the final scene really freaked her out! She truly had a different viewing experience than I did. I had already seen the movie, and totally thought she knew it was just a movie. Great stuff.
