They didn't hated each other. Alec was very professional and in love with his "brother" so that he was very worried and disturbed because of her. But when Magnus came and he released his past he adored her as his sister too.

"Apples are usually my go-to" The only reason I remembered that was a Katnic interview where there was a kissing topic and Dom brought up how Kat was allergic to everything he liked and he was allergic to her favorite food: apples. It's so amazing to see Kat work with her old colleagues recently, Matt on Trust and Luke on UntitledHorrorMovie

I love how you can actually tell how good friends they are by watching this video, not only because they know things about each other but because of how relaxed they seem with each other and you can really tell they spend lots of time together.

@@TiaraonCamera they are definitely platonic, Katherine has said that Matthew is like her big brother, they're really good friends and I do get that platonic sibling-like vibe from them. It's a different vibe to Kat's relationship with Dominic, Dom would always tease Kat & play pranks on her on set, there was this one time Dom taped Kat to her trailer & Matt had to come with a pair of scissors & cut her out. I've seen a lot of interviews with the casts & Matt just seems like a protective big brother to Kat.
